Yeah i'd definitely be interested in the progress. It's shame people nowadays dont pay big muscle cars the respect they deserve. Every kid wants something exotic or japanese and while they're all great cars, nuttin puts such a big smile on your face as a big blocked beast. Much props to all the project peeps out there that keeps such cars on the road.

btw, what kind of exciting new golf :)D) you lookin for?
I had the 340 bhp jap car, too common in UK. I want to be cool. :D

Golf TDi
They have about 150 bhp, right?

There are tons of TDI versions......there are with 150 but thats the top of the line. Most have lower. But the engines vary from like 90/100/105/110/115 and so on.

Going for a used car or a new one?

Dunno. My mum gets a dsicount with her work, on new cars so if I get a good deal I could go for that.
But I'd rather pay £6K- £8K and then I won't care what happens to it when I leave it in car parks and stuff. Because that's how much my Impreza depreciated yearly.

True, true. And you can still get a decent little car for that money.

When do you think your project can take off? after the impreza sells?

Yeah pretty much, I need the cash from the sale. I gotta get my Bike on the road first. Need to get a bike licence. lol And I have a £1K worth of safety gear to buy.
Then I'll sell my Impreza and buy the shitty Golf. :(
I'm gonna research into Dodges more thoroughly. And emissions laws etc.
I've found a pretty good website. I'm gonna try and get a lot of info from them, if I say I want them to import me one, I'm sure they'll answer my questions. lol http://www.motiv8vehicles.co.uk/
I've also subscribed to an American Classic car mag.
Roll on the Dodge, cos I aint into driving a Golf. :D

P.S - Nice 320 bhp EVO just passed my house. EQ320

EDIT - Just noticed on that website. That's how my dodge looked in my head!!! Now I see it in the flesh. Sort off.

Looks like a good site :thumb: And that Charger looks fuckin awesome. its indeed how i pictured the two tone working....with the black on the bonnet and the lime green. looks like it could do with a set of rims perhaps one or two sizes bigger, though.

do you really need a car for work and "life" so to speak? couldn't you just use your bike to get yourself around? or is that too impratical?? could save ya money if you dont need a car per say.... then you wont have to drive a shitty golf :p

Edit: Mean ass 340 bhp city bus just passed my house....

Weather is too bad in UK for riding a bike daily. I need an everday car. The Golf doesn't have a wow factor, which I'll miss. But I guess it is a decent car.
I contacted the motiv8 company, getting prices for them to source me a car, and also prices to modernise it. Add Power steering, Electronic ignition, disk brakes and Suspension that will suit UK roads.

Yeah.
I'm after the Dodge for the "wow factor". So I just need an everyday run about.
And to be honest if I pay £6K, I could relax when I park it somewhere shit, I wouldn't care to much about getting it robbed.
At the moment I'm always wary if someone follows me too long, incase I'm gonna get jacked. And I worry when I leave my car in certain areas. I've had a few near misses. Usually in West London.

I've changed my mind yet again.

A friend of mine is selling an E-type Jag convertable replica for a fair price.

It looks top notch and costs the same as my impreza. A good little summer car. So I may buy that.

I spoke to the owner of the Dodge (http://www.motiv8vehicles.co.uk/). The lime green one. It's up for sale. £22K or just under $50K. Which is a fair price for such a nice car, I'm tempted. I've also been weighing up a 68 Mustang convertable.

So I'm not sure.

I'll post pics of whatever I buy.

I've got my Impreza back to a standard state now. Replaced all the parts back to the originals. Except I lost the old ECU, but I "found" a prodrive ECU. So now the car is a WRX Prodrive. So it has 270-280 BHP. It's ready for sale. I just need to get it cleaned, then I'll take some pics and put it up for sale. I'll post pics here too. Any buyers?

So whats it gon be? E-type or Charger? Btw, the owner of the lime green one, is that still that Hammond Top Gear chap? Is he sellin it?

i'd still take the Charger, tho. e-types are beautiful cars but they are around. chargers are more rare.

Yeah, Richard Hammond.

Yeah I agree about the charger, I need to get pics of the jag though, it's sweet. And there's a £10K saving to be made.
