Inside a paradox

I was just reminiscing about the Thug Angel dvd. There is an interview with a woman tupac knew, I don't recall her name right now. She said Tupac did not play, and she emphasised that statement. However, in the interview with Shock G he states that Tupac played to win. Are these two people talking about the same person? it sounds kinda add to get two different points of view about one person on the same dvd.

"to play" is a wide term and strongly depends on the context. Different people make different experiences and get different impressions of one and the same person

play what?
some people can be like "i dont play around"
then in another sentence say "i play to win"

maybe she meant he didnt play golf
and he meant he played the rap game to win
?

Paradox is confusing, that is its essence.

Pac was a Gemini, and I am not just saying this. I am a Gemini myself, and yes my birthday is two days after Tupac's. My parents were against rap music like a propaganda ideology, to the point that they ask me what do I even have in common with Tupac? I laughed when I spat the truth. Who else on this board has a closer birth date to Tupacs? Pac was born 16-6-71, I was born 18-6-81, 2 days and ten years a part. Beat on mine bitch. What I am saying is I know what it is like for a Gemini, twins incorporate the concept of paradox. You see it in Pac's music a lot - I am living just to die, It takes a life to make a life, getting high off Buddha, lol. It is one thing to understand art and poetry, another to understand the philosophy behind it. What I am saying is Tupac's character had muliple sides, if you don't get it yet listen to the chorus of lastonesleft - am I wrong? the ONE to get it going on, the last to leave, till I see everybodys gone, I'm at the bar you can catch me, hands full of liquor while puffing on a sweet swisher, I'm the last one left. Am I wrong TWO wanna get it going on ... tell me you don't see paradox there, or tupac playing of the idea of 2, of 2 truths. It is in his name, duality, paradox, and poetry; equals genius. What I am saying is you can't define his character through comparative concepts, Pac was above all that bullshit, and he played on it.

well technically anyone born before you and after pac, as in like 1976, would be closer to pac's birthdate... but i see what you're sayin.

you're giving names to things that are explained much easier with simpler sentences.

first off, as far as the gemini shit goes, "okay" lol. what the hell. tupac was a person with many sides like anyone. it doesn't take a gemini, it simply takes a human being. when you're with your girl you show a softer side, when you're with friends you're more competitive, when you're with colleagues you're more professional, etc. this is a common thing. so pac might have said one thing to shock g in 91, and then another thing to some lady in 94. it doesn't mean his duality is superior to that of any other human being. imo, people who think so, they appreciate pac for the wrong reasons. that's just my opinion of course, but i think it's way more interesting to debate on the fact that pac didn't hide these things from the media and his fans, and actively incorporated it in his music. this gave it a very personal touch that not many rappers from his time put on their music. and if you want to get spiritual with it, the events that took place in pac's life are way more interesting than his zodiac sign.

now i'll admit that i don't know a lot about zodiac signs. i only know that the mind believes what you want it to believe, and that it's easy to read something and make it fit to yourself. you go through life thinking you're some super-special gemini with a duality complex and what happens? naturally, you let it become a part of who you are. you pardon your own actions with a horoscope and a zodiac sign analysis, rather than drawing logical conclusions. like, if you love a girl but hate her at the same time, it's not because you were born in the month of june. if you read up on biology, conflicting emotions is a much larger science that is more logically and better explained than "neptune is blocking half of saturn this month and therefore you have difficulty making up your mind".

people who get caught up in the fact that pac was a gemini and two-sided and speak of that fact like it's something godly and unusual really need to, pardon my french, get their head out of their ass, and stop thinking that's so special. my "professional" guess would be that such people, at some point in their life and for some coincidental reason or other, felt like they could really relate to tupac. they became subconsciously obsessed with the idea that they have more in common with their idol than his other fans. i used to be 12 years old so i know the drill. i don't want to shit on your belief system Yeshua, but if you really think you have anything more in common with Pac than anyone on here... well, you don't see it yourself if you're "there", but to me it explains why you even believe in Zodiac signs to begin with. like i said, i can point to many things in my own persona that makes me as multi-sided as pac with ease. there's nothing "special" about this, though.
