To be honest i'm more concerned about Live to tell. The cast should have been confirmed by now....

better dayz and uteot had good promotion, even still i rise did. i gotta feeling their gonna suceed again.
i agree... IF YOU'RE ON CRACK.
still i rise had sub-par promotion, and only one song shipped to radio (which was never really played). uteot came out of nowhere, and the lead video came far too late to act as a beneficial promotional tool. the letter video was never picked upon in the american market. better dayz had one video, and one song that received any airplay, albeit not much.

the problem is that most artists create a buzz with a lead video that is pushed three weeks before the album is scheduled to drop, while amaru too often drops the album with little public awareness and then struggles to do a video release asap. putting the cart before the horse isn't a good thing.

SiR promotion sucked.

Back when it was supposed to drop I had NO CLUE it was coming out.

I think I seen a comercial on BET once for it and it said "in stores this Tuesday"...that was it.

I mean I was excited as hell, it was a cool surprise to get a new Pac album (and it was tight) but being a big Pac fan who tried to keep up with release dates it shocked me that a Pac album could just drop like that and I didn't even know it was coming out until so close to the actual release.

Then again wasn't there some issues between Amaru & DR at the time that had to do with promotion of the album?

Anyway, I feel like every Pac album after that I would barely have known about if it wasn't for boards like this or me seeking out the info for myself.
