Is this pic real?

it was a legitimate collaboration, but madonna remixed the song slightly for her release, removing the pac part (that was admittingly weak)
Damn, I thought pac verse was ok, it was just short. I liked when he said "what would they think? a blond and a thug brotha/ way u gettin paid-wish we was lovas" that was a rare moment of Pac being a little humorous in his lyrics, and also the ad-libs were good too. Also, it was recorded pre-dr correct? And does this mean the song will never be released?

...probably not. pac's verse is horribly dated with his mention of blonde ambition.

the tribute cover album was to be released a few months after sir.

I dont know if it's a good or a bad thing that it didnt get released, I guess it could have turned out pretty well

Thanks Dante,
Can u give us any info on what songs the covered? It's kinda hard to imagine what 2Pac songs Madonna and Sting could do, besides maybe "How do u want it?" for Maddona and "Me against the world" but they would have to pretty much come up with completely different lyrics of there own, not like a traditional cover song.

sting actually did when thugs cry (because of the fragile sample).
True... that's interesting though.

For those of you who aren't really big on Sting, I'd recommend peeping the "Fragile" track not just so you'll see how When Thugs Cry was sampled from it, but it's a poetic song pretty much about somebody killing someone else but in a metaphorical way ("If blood will flow when flesh and steel are one...").
