I think alot of Pac fans underestimate Jay's ability. For hypotheticals I think Pac would have won on an emotional scale, but as far as lyrically I really dont know and think on an unbiased stand point it would be very close. But I guess whoever conveys the emotion best usually wins the battle these days.

I think alot of Pac fans underestimate Jay's ability.

Absoultely not.. But I think Biggie was even better than Jay-Z, and really, Pac didnt leave him a chance.. It's not lyrically speaking, or i donnow, say flow wise.. I'm speaking overall, with the emotions factor and the feelings.. Plus even in those areas, it's not like they held a big advantage on Pac.. He had an amazing lyrical talent, and could drop one hell of a complex and witty line at any given time (and i'm assuming a beef with Jay would be one of those times and trigger the best in him).

Objectively speaking, as i just said above, Pac could be a lyrical genius, but simply didnt put as much effort as he could all the time since his "realness", his emotions and his "charisma" really could win him any battle (i'm not talkin' about beef only). Of course, the usual argument to this is the MDK album.. As someone had in his signature on this board, what took Nas lots of time and much of his heart and soul to do on "Illmatic", only took Pac 3 days!!!
