Yeah I thought it was only 1 year myself. Weird how time goes by as fast as it does. Today is Yaki Kadafi's Birthday and next month on 11/10/10 will be the 14th anniversary of the date of his death as well. Weird how I seem to be one of the few people that still remember these things these days.

RIP to my good friend Johnny. You guys, I want to be absolutely clear about something. Everyone I met during the making of my documentary was cool. But Johnny went beyond that - he went out of his way to treat us well. He introduced us to his family. He drove us around. He chatted with us for hours outside of the recording of the interview. I could go on. I never expected him to be as friendly and chill as he was. His death would have made me incredibly sad simply as a fan of his music....but it made, and continues to make me feel sad because we lost a truly good person here.

A man who loved life, loved what he did, loved his family and was both incredibly talented and a good person. The official line from the jail is still suicide, but it never even crossed my mind for a split second that it could even be a possibility. They say you never know what's going on inside someone's mind, but that's not the person I met, the person I talked to. No way, no chance.

Thanks@Shadows. Sorry for bumpin a topic. I don't get on here as much as I used to. There isn't as much to reply to anymore as this place used to be packed with people all the time. I guess some people just move on. I keep up with a few folks on facebook and myspace if anybody cares to add me hit me up but um I'm still around on occasion. I love this place :)
