Back in the deathrow dayz, I could name a dozen tracks the Outlawz messed up a Pac song (especially EDI), but Kastro, which was my favorite beside Kadafi, killed Pac songs for the better on a few. He almost dominates on:

Don't Sleep
Hard Labor
Life Of An Outlaw
When We Ride
U Can Be Touched OG
Flex
Introduced 2 Da Game
Letter 2 The President OG
They Don't Give A F**K About Us

Not to mention all his verses on Outlaw Retribution
Family Pictures
Mr. Makaveli
Komatose
Still Mournin'
Bless My Soul

Napoleon also murders trax with Kastro on this cd as well

(just puttin' my thoughtz out there...K-Dogg and Napo ain't shit nowadays...sad)

I was always very annoyed by Kastro and Kadafi. Voices really annoying that completely changed the mood of songs at times and completely fucked it up imo. I always felt that Napoleon was the best outlaw out of all of them. Even the dramacydal tracks Napo clearly comes off as the better rapper.

He also sounds sick on just like daddy (dramacydal version)

Yea, I gotta agree with you on tha dramacydal era. Napoleon was da shit on all the trax. Napoleon got seemed to have super delivering abilities in his earlier years. His verses on Around The Way/Tonite Komatose and Bless My Soul. But after those years, he slowed down his speed and his delivery wasn't the same. I guess it happens to everyone

There's no such thing as an expensive beat, only an expensive producer.

I can name a ton of Dre/Neptunes beats that were wack as hell yet the artists paid them serious money for them.

tell that to pac lol..im just repeating what he said....

but what i meant by "Expensive" is not how much the beat costs, i mean expensive SOUNDING u know...like deathrow style beats...not ringtones..but nice sounding beats like the ones pac rapped over

^^ What he means is beats that sound like they have paid to clear samples and hired instrumentalists to come through, and not just a bare bones 808 four by four beat.

Dre beats ARE expensive, he hires the best bass, guitar and piano players and has some of the best drum samples and the best gear and most importantly in my opinion, he has the best studio monitors. Because he has put so much money into his set up he can perfectly EQ the beats and get the lows, mids and highs perfect.

That is what Rahim means by expensive beats, as apposed to some cheap ass fruity loops beat monitored on PC speakers and ipod headphones.

^^ yeah thats what i mean ....expensive shit...not cheap sounding like some of today's mainstream beats...
But thats in right now, that simple style. They aint cheap they just simple but the eq and arranging on some of them is nuts. More baseline driven than melody driven which is why they sound simple to you.
