That Q is better than mine, so mine is probably ripped with bad equipment but my point about the pictures that are being posted is that a guy made it look like the version i have is perfect Q but that first pic looks like DVD rip, could that be or just good ripped from VHS ?

The guy probably had a better version. its either bad equipment or just a 2nd or 3th generation tape (dubbed).

the promo version is not available on dvd, so yes, this is a vhs rip. i rip using finalcut hd (may be a mac only app - not sure) from a professional deck on a g5 machine. i used some filters to remove the grainyness that is inherent with vhs tapes, and added a very slight blur to clean it up further. the colors on yours seem to be pretty drab, indicating (to me at least) that the feed was from a tv or some source that shifted the colors. when i rip, i encode at 1mb/s with consideration for rapid movement, and i can get near dvd quality out of the final product in most cases.

the age and treatment of the vhs tape also is a huge factor. some vhs tapes will always render a shitty rip, whereas a seldom played, sealed tape that hasn't been in the sun will give you tremendously better results. dubs should only be used for exclusive material.
