Quasimodo, we should record a single together. T-Pain just did a concert here in Auburn last week. Taylor Swift was here earlier this year. We can get something going.

Lemme know.

I missed something. Who is this person? I gather that he is/was a member of SH, is fat, is white, and is a rapper. Aside from that, who else is he?
He was a member here. He made a thread about how he bullied some guy. I think it was part of his image, as a gangsta rapper. And he got canned by several members here... Ripped a new one.

There were massive threads on his weight. On his life... Loads of pictures from his myspace. And constant jokes about his appearance and that of his friends. I feared he might commit suicide at one point.

In all seriousness, how'd you get these two on your track Deez mother fucker Deez, Rosie Perez

He paid for them.

Or maybe he just made the money performing at small gigs and he saved up? lol. You can easily get a good 250-500$ at a small show...

Exactly. Either you have a social friendship with someone, or you pay for a feature.

The problem is that many people rely on these kind of collaborations for PR buzz because they are completely incapable of writing a good song on their own.

I know a terrible girl band that had Juelz Santana on their song. But even if we had a few Juelz fans on here I'd put money on it that they probably hadn't heard it. Because it sucks.

Someone said 3k a 16 to me about a year ago. But whether this is correct or not. I don't know.
It can range from a few hundred bucks to a few thousand. Shit not too long ago you could have gotten a verse from Kurupt for under a thousand. It's not too uncommon for nobody rappers to get well known rappers to drop a quick verse for a quick buck. Especially when said well known rapper hasn't really done anything big in a while and is looking for some quick pocket money.

Well, Canibus and Kool G aren't really doing well lately. I mean - especially Kool G. He hadn't dropped anything since the 90s. He's like Coolio but wasn't anywhere as popular back then in the first place and nobody cares about him now yet most people interested in rap recognize his name.
I guess they'd catch any opportunity to earn some money.

Yeah, I'd estimate you could get a verse from those two for probably $2k each. Pocket change. The small amount of PR buzz from will ultimately prove pointless since the track isn't actually very good.

Anybody can get a collaboration these days, but just because you do it doesn't mean it's worth releasing.

Me and my band have a collaboration we did with Keith Murray sitting in our vault, but it's not making the cut for the new album because the rest of the song isn't good enough yet, compared to what did make the cut. It still needs more work, but we may release it in the future after rewriting parts of it.

No one has to go trying to explain this shit. Everybody already knew he paid for em. The thing I was asking is how and why

I got told he paid them 3k a piece. I was told about the collabo over a year ago. Laughed it off....

He probably got at them the usual ways. The internet has shrunk the globe.

It's also pretty easy to get rappers cells, or in touch with their management companies. I used to have a load... They are all pretty approachable. I gave a few numbers to Rahim. I remember he phoned Mopreme once. Mopreme put the phone down and when Rahim phoned back he claimed to be a car wash... Or something like that... lol

Older rappers usually do verses for very cheap. Especially on myspace, the rappers send out bulletins saying how much they charge.

I used do business with Yukmouth & Fatal about 5 years back and at the time they'd charge verses for a thousand+ dollars.
