Any1 know or wanna put in their 2 cents?

Dante, why do you think they wil never get released?
because amaru doesn't own them or this has to do with the fact that the original recordings are damaged or lost?

Dayum its good to be back online 2 get the newest pac info.. Last time I was online before this week was years long ago.. I remember the last rumor I heard was that R U Still Down was going to be released and that it was going to be a double cd... lol its been a long time!!! o yea and the reason why it says my join date is 04 is cuz i signed up here 1 night at my boys house, was on for 5 minutes, then had to leave...lol

Most likely Amaru doesn't want to pay for the sample used on the original beat nor the guest on the og.

This ranks among the top reasons there may never be an OG Box Set.
That's not necessarily true. I'm sure it's a reason, but not the top reason. Honestly, with all of the file sharing and mp3 downloading, how many people do you think would shell out $35-40 for a box set of Pac albums? Other than the Pac fans of our caliber (which is a small group to begin with), probably not many. It would sell just as poorly as most modern Death Row compilations (Too Gangsta for Radio, Snoop Dogg Dead Man Walkin, etc.), maybe even worse considering the fact that Death Row at least leaves songs close to OG whereas Amaru 95% of the time pillages a perfectly good song then jerks off on it by putting Young Noble and Kastro on it instead of whoever.

I think it would do ok ONLY if they promoted it right.. Amaru must be mad lazy or something, cuz hardly any of Pacs work gets the advertisement it needs..except maybe for greatest hits.. but thats cuz changes was a hit and the video was iight... Every Pac video since then has been garbage..str8 trash... If they can get 2 hit singles on mtv, i think it would do fine... of course im like 90& sure that shit wont happen :-/

A box set wouldn't do okay. Amaru would more than likely lose money on such a project, considering several factors, including paying producers (whether it was the OG or the new ones), samples, guest artists, and manufacturing costs (which are greater per unit as less units are produced and would probably be the case since such a box set would probably be a limited edition).

Greatest Hits was a success for several reasons. It was released shortly after the peak of Pac's posthumous success (after the 4X Platinum Makaveli album and the 4X Platinum R U Still Down album), included most of his hit video singles (minus a few like Papa'z Song, If My Homie Calls, etc.), had the support of both Amaru (when they were still reasonably business-savvy) and Death Row, had two video singles--Changes (which had a good video concept that Amaru re-used one too many times afterward) and All About U (with Top Dogg added in), plus Michel'le (someone who has been in the industry since the N.W.A days) was the project coordinator rather than E.D.I. and Kastro, two lame ass rappers who could never do shit without Pac paving the way for them and telling them what to do.

It's my dream that they would release every pothsomous song in original form in a box set. It won't happen though :(.

BTW, every pothsomous song would be way over 13 CD's :horny:.
