I came across this song "Dying" from Movado, basicly Pac wrote the damn thing but he seems to be passing it on as his work. Check for yourselves:

Here's a youtube comment:

Y'all too protective over 'Pac, good to see Pac's lyrics being used cuz it shows his voice is being heard through other artists too. Noone's is trying to replace Pac. Dont forget Pac wasnt just about the lyrics and songs . Pac's impact went beyond just music. So remember noone will ever be compared to Pac on all the levels, Ja Rule tried for a minute but was stopped before he embarrased himself (and Pac) further. Movado is clearly influenced by Pac, and thats what would make Pac smile. He wanted the world to remember him forever and this is one of the ways to do that. U should concentrate on telling people that those lyrics were Pacs and maybe guide a few people to Pacs music rather than crushing it !! Thats what i do when i hear a pac lyric in another artists song. I tell folks, " If u liked them lyrics, u should listen to 2pac aswell "

Pac was influenced by all the books he read, especially Macchiavelli, was Pac biting too?

I don't buy the whole "it's just a tribute" thing, he should have mentioned his name then, shown a picture or something. The problem is 95 % of the listeners wont know Pac actually wrote it first, so Movado is getting compliments and money for something Pac did...

If that's not "biting", I don't know what is...

He took a classic hook from a classic Pac track and flipped it into his own. Remember when 'Pac took No Diggity from Blackstreet/Dre and flipped it into Toss It Up? He said "I took the track and i made it mine". Movado hasnt done it as aggressively as that, cuz lets face it who in the world of music would want to do that to the Don? But he took a classic track and flipped it into his own, not take it away from him.

The problem you highlighted which holds the most weight is that alot of listeners wont know Pac wrote it, and thats why were here dude. To bring that number down! I wouldnt go as far as saying 95%, because alot of Kats around the world have heared of and/or listened to 'Pacs music. But there's people who still need to be told who 2pac was. We dont need a Pac picture everytime we see a lyric of his in another artists tune, that time has past.

Pac didn't take anything from No Diggity, Dre made that beat while he was on DR, originally Danny Boy and Jodeci was on it. But then when he left, he took it with him and sold it to Teddy Riley which meant they had to change Toss it up. Pac had nothing to do with it...

And Movado isn't just using a hook, both of his verses are basicly Pac lines from various songs.

But I don't wanna go back and forth on this, as a Pac fan I just don't like it, if others disagree, that's cool...

It aint biting, cuz to bite you gotta try emulate 'Pac as if you were him. Movado likes the essence of Pacs lyrics and the impact it made and still makes. He aint coming out with a ThugLife tattoo dissing everyone. He jus knows that to drop a lyric with pure substance then you gotta get the Pac vibe on it, and thats all it is.

And as for No Diggity, - listen to 'Pacs outro:

It's on
Toss it up, we took you on, and we took y'all beat
You know we beat you down, and we took y'all beat
Cause you wasn't rockin it right
Tired of suckers rockin it, toss it up, is how we did it
Yeah, toss it up now!
