Sometimes I'm not able to fully support my people
With our history filled with hate, corruption and trouble
The British oppressed us and we desired our freedom
Nobody understood what would soon be the outcome
We liberated the land and this country was born
But there were some people they forgot to warn
Our greed took over and we wanted some more
An overwhelming desire to get to the other shore
Little did we know there were people already there
That wasn't an issue, the forefathers really didn't care
Stealing the first part in the Louisiana Purchase
Paying low by convincing Indians the land was worthless
Meanwhile we forced an entire race to do our housework
Beating them down, wondering why they'd go berserk
A man named Lincoln came forward and took a stand
Signing a proclamation and freedom spread through the land
Although they were free oppression still remained supreme
An entire nation completely going against that man's dream
Then we wanted to control every inch that we could
Sending two men to explore through forests of wood
People owned all of it for several hundred years
We knew this but that was the least of our fears
War was declared against everyone standing in our way
Going through and slaying innocent lives every single day
In the aftermath we finally had a complete nation
The remaining natives were sent to a reservation
With each coast ours it seemed like we were done
Little did anyone know this reign had simply begun
