New 2pac album

Are Amaru really ever going to stop publishing Tupac's music ...? I don't think so. The reason they didn't put out all the OG's first is because if they did, as soon as they were all published they would have no material left to work with. It is a marketing strategy. Amaru knows that people will buy remixed OG's because the OG's haven't been published. I think Afeni is smart and has took proper marketing advice. I used to work in sales, and you excel in marketing if you can find a way to sell something twice. If an OG' boxset does come out, we will be buying all the OG's from his previous posthumous albums, proving my point. That's the way I see it.

For some reason i'm having trouble understanding this.

The thirteen (13) master recordings that are selected from the list below for the Option Album are property of the estate and will not be turned over to Amaru. After selection of the thirteen (13) Option Album master recordings from the list below, the remaining master recordings on the list below will be returned to Amaru.

So who totally owns those tracks they listed? The New DR label will release the tracks but then they have to give the tracks back to Amaru?? I'm having trouble understanding what they are talking about?

If your lookin to make some money, then I agree with you. But I don't think Pac's wordz should be put out just to make an extra dollar

'Feni aint doing this to make a quick buck, she's trying to make sure that the other projects she has going on can fund his legacy for many more years to come. The Arts centre is the main thing, but im sure they have other projects in the pipeline which will need funding. Your making it sound like she's only interested in making money and she dont care for her own son. If she didnt care then there would be no arts centre in the first place. Her advisors are on salaries, they dont get a cut of the profits. So they have no direct financial gain. I think 'Pac would be proud of how his momz stepped up.

Exactly, besides this is a business anyways. If anything we should be critical of Amaru for not stepping it up even more. I mean how many of us have complained about there Marketing/Advertising department or lack there of. Promoting the albums the week of or after it's been done. Amaru is probably the only label out there that actually uses the small money they do make for good use and not for themselves.
