'Padlocks In My Socks'

#1
Soon As I Get Home ...

"It's padlocks in my socks, steel from the bed springs, I touch 'em with thug love,
and then let they heads ring"

is 'padlocks in my socks' a metaphor for something?

it sounds like a complicated analogy for pac to come up with, i am just wondering what do padlocks and socks have in common

i was hoping for more of an intelligent answer, but guess this explanation will have to suffice for now, it be dangerous to take lyrics literally though

why, because people confuse literal with metaphor, in what context do you interpret it?
I wish you were banned from the 2pac section sometimes. You look wayyyyy too much into Pac's words to look for shit that isn't there.

if u have ever been to jail the most common weapon during a riot is locks in socks.

theres nothing to interpret. thats what he means
Thank you, and seeing as how the song itself "Soon As I Get Home" is about being locked up. I dont understand why anybody would even question this answer.

That's all it is. If you've seen Full Metal Jacket, thing of the part where they beat up the guy with the bars of soap in their socks... now think of them having padlocks instead of soap.

i honestly have never heard this expression before, i've heard of 8-balls in socks b4, but never padlocks which is why it sounded odd plus i have never been to jail and never will

I kno you're in the UK but the english is pretty much the same, man. Pac was a deep dude, but the simpliest shit he said isn't always a metaphor.

What next? Pour Out A Little Liquor means a dying friend who passes away by pourin his sick & tortured soul into the ground and becoming one with the earth?

i wonder if you are as shallow as you seem arthurr, your clowning is becoming repetative already, do you have any other jokes that don't start with the same four words all the time

and as for pour out a little licker, i have my own theories ...

This is why I don't come to this section very often. All that is left are crazy fan's who try to cling to something more than there really is.

Get a life.
