Morality is just a word. As with all words the meaning can change, and people can use the word to describe something that may not necessarily be it's true meaning.

Sometimes when people say "morals". They are just saying that they choose to do what they believe is right and fair. They aren't following a code, they are just living how they choose and what they perceive as the right way to live.
