"To criticize a person for their race is manifestly irrational and ridiculous but to criticize their religion, that is a right. That is a freedom. The freedom to criticize ideas, any ideas - even if they are sincerely held beliefs - is one of the fundamental freedoms of society. A law which attempts to say you can criticize and ridicule ideas as long as they are not religious ideas is a very peculiar law indeed." - Rowan Atkinson
Do you agree?
In the post 9/11 world, I've noticed that some people have gotten very hesitant about criticizing Islam. Now, you'll say, "No way man, just go to the closest bookstore", but I mean the common people. In the state I live in, people tend to be very liberal and some believe that criticizing a person's religion is offensive and discriminatory. I don't agree.
Like Mr. Bean

said, you should be free to criticize an idea (Islam) regardless of whether there are millions of people who sincerely believe in to be absolute truth.
