REMASTERED Albums (AEOM & 7DT)

#1
Were the "remastered" All Eyez On Me and The 7 Day Theory albums truly remastered, using the original master copies with all the layers, or were they some kind of ameature internet guy's remaster, using direct rips from the album?

I still haven't heard these, but many people have said that they have distortion in them, and are NOT better than the original releases.

Also, were any changes made to the recordings, such as new adlibs/beats, etc?

Basically, I'm trying to find out which version I want to keep. Unless there are actual significant differences, such as new verses, I will only keep 1 version. The 1996 release being the original makes no difference to me. I don't care if some consider it to be a collector's item. I just want to have the best quality version.

Feedback please.

Also, what about the other releases that were "remastered"? There were some that featured Pac, such as Above The Rim soundtrack. Were any of these truly remastered?

Thanks.

the 2001 remasters were mainly just a dolby 5.1 conversion with minor tweaks. the dualdisc releases of 2005 contain more significant remasters. the entire dr catalog for the most part was remastered (you can see the pac related discs on my site) in 2001.

I've got the DualDisc version both of them, I think the quality is much better than the original release's, plus it comes in a pretty cool collector's pack with music videos.
