Murder doenst justify murder, in one way or another.
still sad that a girl dies, and RIP... but do we actually wanna go back 100+ years? then take a trip to iran where people gets murdered for less then a murder.

well to me he is yeah Evidentley he did is time and it didn't do nothing, so when he was releases he wasn't "corrected". So instead of just locking people behind bars for countless years, do something in their, educate them or something, how is being locked up in a cell rationalized as a "correctional" institute. And how would it be the fault of our society if your complaining about laws directly???
Good reply though from most, give them the death penalty, no questions just kill them, and then we can elect a new form of government called Communism and so forth. Since we are in the US we are pretty rational about shit, well our laws not our people. Did you know there are so many people on Death Row that by 2013 if you are given the Death Penalty it will be just like serving a Death Sentence, yes how fucked up it is, there is a waiting line for the Death Penalty. My mum lives in Soham, and so does my Uncle. They lived around where my uncle lives and my cousin was friends with them so I hung around with them and some other girls one day, they're around my age a bit younger tho. When I say 'knew' I don't mean I was really good friends with them, I met them once.

I feel what you're saying Aristotle & totally agree that there isn't enough focus put on rehabilitation but now that this has happened, you can only expect quasi-emotional reactions.

None have and as it stands none are sufficently developed to do so. This is the way it will stand for the forseeable future. The crux of my point is regimes like the Soviet Union or Castro's Cuba are the inevitable way a Communist society will develop and that's why it's a bad "thing". Winston Churchill although somewhat crudely perhaps says it best:

I would never declare Communism to be the ultimate solution to society ills (no disrepect meant for my goods friends poverty, bad housing, flawed education system etc.) but it has some severely good points which some (not pointing specific fingers) choose to ignore.
You are right that no-one appears equipped to do it, but I wonder how many have truly tried before being seduced by the power.
While the Soviet Union had the barest of good points - especially considering the plight of it's satellite states - I can contest two things in Cuba's favour.
1. Like it or not, while people don't enjoy being oppressed, there is an inherent difference between being oppressed by your own, & being oppressed by a foreigner. The latter has almost always been the preferred choice. At the time of the revolution, Cuba was America's playground where their rich could satisfy all their vices. The country & it's people were being raped in exchange for Batista getting a fat wallet full of dollars. When Che & the brothers Castro (Raul & Fidel) overthrew the government the future was bright. I mean, Fidel's main objective was to liberate the country & seize power - Communist intentions were not prevalent. In fact, Fidel was never a Communsit, it was Che who converted him & their army. Anyways, for this reason I still admire Fidel's actions then, afterwards his methods became a lot worse & less justifiable & when Che - a true man of the people (even those who were not his own) - died there was but a Communist government without it's talisman. I do think though that, had it not been for American intervention, Fidel would not have seen the need for such an iron rule.
2. Cuba has, arguably, the best medical system in the world. Along with Britain, it is one of the only countries that employs a 'completely free' medical service & is, in fact, less expensive to the people than the British equivalent. This, to me, shows that some ideals of Communism have been kept in place & used for their original intention.
And the relevance to this thread is....erm....that in a Communist country such a thing would never be allowed to happen.
