Acctually the HOOK in "soldier like me" is from 2Pacalypse Now's song Soulja's Story. Listen to it. 2pac slowed down his voice for the hook.Eminem just took the slowed down verse and sped it up to sound how pac made it originally.

So eminem took that hook and sped it up and put it in the song. Listen to Soulja's Story and Soldier Like Me and see the hook.

they're two totally different songs. 2pac recorded souljah's story then souljah like me as a sequel to it. the chorus sounds similar because 2pac wanted it having a sequel effect (another example of a 2Pacalypse Now sequel is Crooked Ass Nigga and Crooked Nigga Too/2) . the songs i just mentioned were most likely going to be on 2pacalypse now since it was originally planned to be a double album. anyways,souljah like me should have been just like souljah's story, having the "souljah voice" throughout the chorus and some verses but eminem messed it up and made his voice normal sounding.

We already have a sequel to Souljas Story: Souljas Revenge or Revenge of The Soulja. Cant remember. Its the 1 off of S4MN. I cant be arsed to run up and look
