-In Consideration of the company's provision of its facilities for my convenience, I agree that I will not sue them for any purpose that would constitue a violation of any company rule or state, local or federal law.-

the above was a legally binding contract issued out to me and my co-workers at my job. i'm not sure how many of you are familiar with labor laws, but the following contract will not allow me to sue my current employer should my health or rights be violated. needless to say me and my co-workers weren't about to rush into signing this. i have my own ideas of what the outcome of this might be, but thought i'd hear from others.

I don't understand.. maybe i'm not literate enough but to me it doesn't say there if you get hurt you can't do anything.

I mean unless a company rule is actually "don't get hurt" then I don't see how that would be a problem. I don't know any state laws that say "if your at work then don't hurt yourself."

it's not that there is a "dont get hurt" rule, but there are rules being bent and rights being stepped on. and most of it is done by the management and upper staff. and then this comes out after an incident last week where one employee threatened to sue and would have been possibly been able to prove he was wronged.
