obviously you will get fatter when you are bulking up. there is no getting away from it but i think some of these mass gainers just pile on the fat. probably more suited for someone who is thin.

I think your opinion on "what's good for you" is moot at this juncture.

Da_Funk, which supplements are you talking about?

I just take one of these, daily, and it's incredibly good for you. Provides everything the human body needs.

I'm not talking about vitamins and protein powders.

I mean shit like super pump, creatine, weight gainers, etc.

Why not just eat some almond butter? Eggs have protein too, so for non-vegans, you can get your fix that way.

And for those against dairy milk, there's tons of soy milk, almond milk, etc.

I don't like supplements. They say your body doesn't absorb all of it. Because it doesn't need it or because you're not supposed to have it in pill-form in the first place? I dunno.

No, these supplements probably aren't great for you. But they help you lift your ass off, which is what I'm using them for. Alcohol isn't good for you either, but I still use it to get hammered.

that sounds like the stuff i need, but too expensive. i weigh next to nothing, and have always been a skinny bastard (i dont think my weight has changed in about 10 years, im 26 next month!)

are these shakes the best way to properly bulk up? 'cos not even a bad diet helps me put on weight. i walk my dog a few miles a day and do dumbell exercises in the evening but apart from being slightly toned and slightly fitter, my weight doesnt change. i want to be BIG!
Try this site. Decent protein at a fair price.

Whey Protein | Sports Nutrition | Supplements | Bodybuilding Supplements | Protein Supplements - Myprotein

I am in. I need to start exercising again. And I could always gain some weight. I , however, am a midgit at 5 foot 7 Inches.
i found this site earlier Optimum Nutrition Serious Mass at suppshop.co.uk - Discount Supplements selling 'serious mass' which rukas mentioned earlier. 1250 calories per 334g serving, which is a lot!
That's the stuff. It's really amazing. But look, it's a different beast than Whey Protein (which you should take with it anyway). The mass gainers like you saw are packed with calories. They are designed to do one thing and one thing only, make you gain WEIGHT. Now if you take these, and dont work out, that weight will go straight to your stomach. But if you take these and lift and hit the gym hard, you will bulk up very very fast.

They are also a great meal supplement if you cant eat 6 meals a day but still need to hit 3000 or 4000 calories a day, a couple of these shakes and you've reached your target.

If you're just getting into lifting I suggest you just take some 100% whey protein and some creatine and learn to properly lift, get your splits right, get used to working out and pushing yourself, and THEN hit the mass gainers once you have a comfortable routine going.

For the record I totally recommend any of the Optimal Nutrition products, I only buy from them. The Protein tastes so good, the double chocolate is SOOO good.

I hate protein shakes.

I haven't been training for a while. But when I did.... I used to get unflavoured protein and dump 140g of it in 500ml of milk. I'd then add 35g of glucose... Then I add nesquick. Shake it all up. A high protein, high calorie shake, that tastes like Nesquick. Sometimes I'd have 2, and blame it on the bunny.

your body can only absorb so many grams of protein. do you compromise carbs for your proteins casey? i know you be buying them daal and soya bean products from omni sweet centre (if they sell those - havent stepped inside that place since i was little) etc lol.

/\ Omni doesn't have any soy products I don't think. I can't eat a lot of what they sell as a lot of their dishes contain paneer.

I definitely get some good daal from there though - actually have a tub of it in my fridge right now lol.

Try the ON Gold Standard 100% Whey. Double choc tastes like nesquik.

Made a rushed trip back to Chicago this afternoon. Had a cracker, some steamed broccoli, and some salad (no dressing) for dinner. This was because my parents are mad at me. I was also offered a butter and bread sandwich, with the option of a slice of cheese as well. They say I must learn how they live.

I'd laugh too if I didn't know this is the absolute truth.

Gonna run to my Whole Foods store nearby and see what this Daiya cheese coonshit is about. If it tastes like shit, I'm stopping by Wendy's for six triple stack meals.

/\ Daiya cheese is fucking amazing.

It's not really supposed to be eaten on it's own though. Make something with it, grate it up and have it on pasta. It's best when it's a little melted IMO.

I am bringing back a shitload of it after I go to the US next month lol.

Yeah. You were raving on about it, I figured I'd give it a try. I'm doing it more for the taste because I don't plan on giving up dairy anytime soon so...
