Dont Call Me, Bitch was cut from S4MN. Old School OG was cut from Thug Life Vol 1
Damn, I missed the site!!!! I never knew there was an Old School OG anybody got it????
Temptations was recorded in August 1994.
I had never heard of 2pacalypse Now or Strictly being 2 disc-albums. But it does seem VERY logical.
Pac probably recorded about 75 or more songs that we know of between 1990 & 1993. That's about 5 albums.
They're are 2 different kinds of album cuts.
An Artist submits a demo of maybe 25-30 songs, and the studio takes about 18-20 for the album. The rest are cut, later used for soundtracks, mixtapes, etc.
Then the studio releases a promo, then sometimes certain songs arent well received and the studio cuts them from the album.
So when you refer to tracks being cut from an album, there were maybe 10 songd actually CUT from Pac's albums.
There were 100's that didn't make the cut in the first place. Usually, you only release 1 album per year, even if it's a double-disc album. So if you're doing 3 songs a night, just one night a week, thats 150-songs!!!!
TVT Records, Interscope, and DeathRow were amazed with 2pac's work ethics, and they just couldnt put out 150 songs a year, thats why he 500 songs that were unreleased when he died in 1996.
The only songs i can think of that were ACTUALLY CUT from albums were:
Flex (Strictly) appears on the Holler If Ya Hear Me single.
Nothing But Love (Strictly) appears on the I Get Around single.
Runnin' From Tha Police (Thug Life) appears on the promo.
Out On Bail (Thug Life) (Pac performed this at several concerts in 1994, so it was an obvious favorite of his)
Ready 4 Whatever (Thug Life) & I'm Losin' It (Thug Life) & Lie To Kick It (Thug Life) because the studio wanted to keep Thug Life as a group rather than emphasizing certain people like Syke & Mopreme. And they wanted tp keep the focus on the 5 (6 if you include Stretch) group members so they cut Spice-1 & Richie Rich.
Thugs Get Lonely Too & Throw Ya Hands Up (Me Against The World)
Friends, Troublesome '96, & U Don't Have 2 Worry (Makaveli). They were recorded during the recordings of the album, so logically they would have been on the album, since DeathRow took Life Of An Outlaw which was meant for the Outlawz album, they were looking to boost the runtime, so i'm not sure why they were cut. Friends was on one of the Makaveli Promos.
High Til I Die was cut from Better Dayz. (It was mentioned in the Amaru interview about Better Dayz.
With all the new Loyal 2 The Game material which is mostly 91-93, it is quite obvious that 2pac recorded nearly as many songs pre-DeathRow as he did on DeathRow.
2pacalypse Now seems too small at 13 tracks, 50 Minutes. So i'm sure the label cut certain songs they had chosen, becuase they werent well-received. Perhaps Tearz of A Clown, Troublesome, Don't U Trust Me & Days Of A Criminal.
Pac recorded so many songs that he planned an album R U Still Down? and couldnt find time to release it before he released his next material (Me Against The World)
R U Still Down? as we know it, is actually a composition of 3 different albums.
1. Leftover Thug Life tracks (Ready 4 Whatever, I'm Losin' It, Lie To Kick It)
2. Leftover tracks recorded between 2pacalypse & Strictly. (I WOnder If Heaven Got A Ghetto, Do 4 Love, When I Get Free, Hold On Be Strong, Nothing But Love, & 16 On Death Row.
3. The actual R U Still Down? album recorded in late 1993 and early 1994. I'm not sure of an actual tracklist but how does this sound?
15 tracks (Including 2 interludes)
Redemption (Intro)
Open Fire
R U Still Down?
Hellrazor
Thug Style
Where Do We Go From Here?/What's Next (*Not on the album, but it uses the same beat)
Nothing 2 Lose
I'm Gettin' Money
Fuck All Yall
Let Them Thangs Go
Definition Of A Thug Nigga
Fake Ass Bitches
Enemies With me
Black Starry Night (Interlude)
Only Fear Of Death
I pick these songs because they all have a similar message, similar sound, and they work well together. Also all are 93-94.
But we can all think whatever we want.
