This Is Not A Poem... Just An Idea

This is just an idea i have had... but i just want to know what everyone thinks about it...

Im not affiliated with the running of the board or anything (i.e. Mod / admin) im just an ordinary member...

As a way to raise a bit of money for the running of this forum, do you think it would be a good idea to collect together some of the poems on this board and produce a small anthology...?

I know hardly any money can be made from publishing... but its just an idea...

someone already tried that. Not for the site but for the people.. somehow managed NOT to happen.

However, my idea to help would be a audio poetry type tournament. Give them a topic and type of poem and have them write a poem around it. Based on who has the best vocabulary or the hardest hitting, wins..

Well the book....that topic hurts a lil. We've been there, didn't work out, I don't think u can get all the poems together one more time.

@Jocka. Poetry isn't about competion. Tournaments always been part of show your flow...at least I won't be part of any tournament.

Well I know it's not about competition. I'm just more or less wanting an audio section for poetry. It may not be very active, especially at the start, but i'm sure it will grow. Everyone writes their poems a certain way and sometimes they want to share their poem through THEIR words from THEIR mouth to show the emotion.
I just thought a small 'tournament' type thing might jumpstart that.

It is a good idea, I can't ever imagine it actually happening though.

I also think Jocka's idea is good, about adding an audio poetry section to the forum, that would be pretty interesting.

I agree with Menace about competitiveness though. I wouldn't wanna compete but it would be good to gain true understanding of the poems on the board from the writers, and then to compare the meaning against what the reader actually took from the poem... yeah I think that would definitely be something special and cool right there.

THe audio thing would be cool.. I'd contribute to that.. but I'd prefer it non competitively.. but if ppl wana hav a lil competition thing that's cool.. good idea I think
