Tupac's 96 OGs = Grind music

#1
Everybody knows Pac was the most hustlin ass, grinding motherfucker in the history of the rap game in the year of 1996 - anyone think his music really captures that hustle?

Alot of his songs have an unusual vibe. Tattoo Tearz, Troublesome 96, Lets Fight, Don't Go To Sleep, Last Ones Left, 1st to Bomb, U Don't Have to Worry, etc...I think these songs really are meant for that mood a person is in when they are hustling or when they've finished hustling. When I say hustling, I mean doing whatever grind you're on, whether it is school work, a job, sellin crack, whatever. Nothing fits more with hustling that Pac's OGs. Alot of Pac's OGs fit certain moods of course (you ain't gonna bump Play Your Cards Right or Happy Home when you hustlin) but I think a good deal fall under this umbrella.

I agree. 2Pac covered many different matters in just one song (one of them is struggle/hustling, which seems to be the major theme in alot of his material)..

Yes this is why 2pac is my favourite artist! I listen to lots of different types of music, and 2pac is my most listened to because there is a Pac track for whatever type of mood you are in. On my way to the gym I listen to a re-arranged version of Killuminati: 7 Day Theory (by the original tracklist wrote by 2pac, so Lost Souls & Friends OG are included. Watch Ya Mouth of course is not included, instead i place Toss It Up in there.) and that just gets me hyped straight away with Bomb First, Hail Mary and Me & My Girlfriend just pounding hard lyrics and lots of bass! I get about halfway through the tracklist when I reach the gym so then i turn it off. On the way home though, when im feelin more laid back i listen to the second half of Killuminati which is all Hold Ya Head, White Mans world and then Toss It Up which gets me in the mood to fuck my girl! Yep Pac has a track for every mood!
