Tupac's simple and complex rhymes

#21
impossible my posse droppin you we deathrow ridaz
no need to beg mothafucka ain't no mercy inside us
(catchin' feelings)

now that's a complex rythme, it doesn't look like it but sounds really smooth. And in this case, there's no deep message or meaning

We probably in Hell already, our dumb asses not knowin

Everybody kissin ass to go to heaven ain't goin

Put my soul on it, I'm fightin devil niggaz daily

Plus the media be crucifying brothers severly

Tell me I ain't God's son, nigga mom a virgin

We got addicted had to leave the burbs, back in the ghetto

doin wild shit, lookin at the sun don't pay

Criminal mind all the time, wait for Judgment Day
I hope you were trying to be sarcastic here.....

Just incase you weren't, *bell rings* school's in.

These are simple rhymes. Incase you didn't notice there is no complex rhyme scheme with layered rhyming or manipulation of syllables, doubles - nothing.

The best case you've got for this not being simple rhyming is,

'Criminal mind all the time wait for Judgementy Day'

& that ain't much.

These lyrics, as with all the lyrics in Blasphemy, are complex. Like I said before, there is a difference between complex rhymes & complex lyrics.

These are definitely complex lyrics as Tupac employs poetic techniques here to good effect.

*bell rings*

Well, school's out. If you don't understand something here don't hesitate to ask for my help.

Also, Khaled you're right, that is a tight piece of rhyming. Although usually I hate it when people say 'but the OG is better' blindly, I must say, this section is particularly nice over the Catchin' Feelings OG beat.

What a cocksucking liar!

I never said Tupac wasn't 'shyt' - that's a lie.

I did say he wasn't a hero & I gave reasons unlike your faggot self who'll say you think Tupac is a hero but never give any explanation.

I couldn't give a fuck if your father left you. There was nothing personal here so don't try make it otherwise.

I don't 'put down his rhymes' - you put them up ie. you overrate them or don't know what good rhyming is.

I notice how you failed to quote my explanation - are you allergic to intelligence or something?

I know you don't want it, I wonder why you would deny the truth though?

G-Unit World? They suck fake-gangsta's dick. Why would I go somewhere else to see that when I can see it here with your kind?

Btw, if you wish to try to discuss/argue this, I'd like to see you try to dispute the points I made about complex rhymes & complex lyrics - I bet you can't.

"G-Unit World? They suck fake-gangsta's dick. Why would I go somewhere else to see that when I can see it here with your kind?"

wow u sound very defensive there .... lol maybe some truth to you being a gunit fan..?? ;)

Plus i don't have all day to debate with some kid who thinks he knos everything whos DOESNT RESPECT 2pac.

Stop down GRADING 2pac or go to a normal rap discussion board... you come to a 2PAC board and down talk him ... get tha fuk out of here punk ass bytch  :p

Like I say, my 'down talking' is in the eyes of someone who overrates him.

Debate? Yeah, I see you blowing up WoW all the time. Please, you don't even know how. Oh &, can't you see how much of a dickryder you are, you won't debate with someone if he 'doesn't respect 2pac' - how pathetic.

Fact is, I do respect Tupac, just not for the same reasons as you.

There was nothing 'defensive' there & you know it. What a weak comeback when I obviously showed you up.

'Eminem'? - when was he ever mentioned? Then again, your 'punk ass' probably thinks Tupac would beat him in a battle lol!

That's it run away like the little kid you are. If you were really confident in your 'convictions' - I struggle not to laugh when saying that - you would be able to beat me intellectually. As it stands, you are a spaztic.

he didnt just rap, he told a story. i havent seen a person after him that could do it the way he did. it seemed like when he wrote a song, he didnt try to make it rhyme....it just happened to rhyme. he was a poet, his music was art....unlike the shit we hear today. anyone can say how they shoot people with their ak's but it takes a real mothafucker to make that meaningful and tell a story about it,.
Ma man hell razor knos what up .. CalcuoCuchicheoouiehddd read what he said.

lol no 4 real go out the computer screen is prolly huritng ur eyez :)

yes this is a perfect example of complex lyrics...but Pac used simple rhymes here.

i'm not an Eminem fan but the "forgot about dre" video is on right now and that's what made me use Eminem as an example to show those who don't know the difference between complex and simple rhymes...

"i'm not ready to leave it's too scary to die
i'll have to be carried to the cemetary and buried alive
am i coming or going i can barely decide
i just drank a 1/5 of vodka dare me to drive
all my life i've been very deprived
i ain't had a woman in years my palms are too hairy to hide

now these are complex rhymes

Exactly bigCASH.

Tupac had complex lyrics, but often had simple rhymes.

That obviously ain't a bad thing - look at the number of people that see Tupac as the GOAT.

As you mention Eminem; he has complex rhymes but very rarely does he spit complex lyrics.

Thank Christ some people here aren't blinkered.

ya cash i understand what you are saying but if you realy look at it eminem isnt saying anything.

Hes raping but not saying anything.

He has "complex lyrics" as some say but he isnt saying anything ... "palms r to hairy to hide".... u kno what i mean.

Ill put some songs by 2pac such as Blasphemy with my friends cuzins ect and ill be like listen 2 the words , every1s likes danm or they get goodbumps.

At the end of everysong he talks about lessons he learned ect..

He made femals rights something good 4 a man 2 stand up 4 , fights 4 ur rights , to think and fight against the power...... is that a defenition of a hero to some..? Fight 4 ur freedoms , clean our communitys ... wanting to in ways start a revolution. Some say these are hero Characteristics .

You're still missing the point. Read the fucking posts! No-one said those were 'complex lyrics', we said they were 'complex rhymes'.

Yeah, because no man had ever said anything good about women before Tupac & no man had ever stood up for women's rights before Tupac.....

What you should've said was that in the chavinistic climate that was rap at the time, Tupac went against the grain & gave props to women & tried to let them know that there was men who cared for them, & saw their true worth. That Tupac stated that he felt men had to raise their game.

Oh & as for your sig., 'I beg to differ'? Do you? If so, state your points & back them up with evidence.
