Tonight I read several articles about Mumia Abu-Jamal, listened to a Saigon "debate," read a speech from Willie Lynch, and read several articles in the NY Times and Washington Post and wanted to drop something quick on the board:

Convince me to be rich and wrong rather than poor and right
Cuz you'd love to seem me impotent while my people's esteem is indigent
But I'll never regress, ready to bear arms instantly
But fuck fightin for Bush, I'd never serve the infantry
You kill my Middle East brothers then say "They were terrorists, see"
I believed you in the beginnin, and intently watched your speeches
Til I found out you were killin based on facial features
So understand that I'd spit and take a shit on your mission
Then laugh in your face when you draft me as a military tactician

It kinda was a freestyle because the actual verse takes like 30 seconds, but I dunno if it "qualifies" as one because I thought about what I was saying for a little bit longer than I do in a freestyle.

Powerful piece, I wasn't too keen on all the cursing though, a lil is fine but it just seemed a tad over the top imo. My fave part is I believed you in the beginnin, and intently watched your speeches/Til I found out you were killin based on facial features - just really like those 2 lines.
