What are you getting for Christmas?

Well, it looks like I'm the only one that likes FPS on consoles. Haven't played that many, but from what I have, consoles just tend to be a lot cleaner as far as buttons and their functions go.

Keyboard and mouse is the bestest combo since you can leave your hands in the same place and everything you really need is around your left hand. And aiming is obviously much easier and better with a mouse.

Some console FPS's have a good control set-up, some don't. It's tricky.

I just find having to memorize 10 different buttons for menus, weapons, crouch, throw, slap, kick, punch, flashlight, purse, and all that other shit to be really dumb. It took some time for me to get used to it when playing RTS on the PC like Warcraft 3 and Command and Conquer, and still, I haven't memorized all the shortcuts. It's just stupid.

Really, though, since you can pretty much always configure the buttons yourself, you can keep the same controls for different games. AWSD for movement, shift for run, ctrl for crouch, R for reload, CAPS for menu stuff, Q/E for lean, Z-X-C are unbound, F for lights or something.

Ive become quite used to it, and with every FPS i play i reconfigure the controls to the same basic layout.

Maybe I don't play enough FPS on the comp then. Halo...No one lives forever... that's it? Unreal Tourney or championship, can't remember..oh, and I did in fact play Bioshock.
