Hi all,

First things first Bobby sands is telling the truth ... everything that he said is correct.

Second thing, i lost my aunty to pancreatic cancer in june of last year - i am still struggling with my illness and i have been told that i will never get better.

I have a condition called Transverse Myelitis - google it if you wish to know more, as it is far too much to type. I also have a condition called Fibromialgia (again google too as to much to explain)

Due to this and all the problems in my life i have struggled with doing much, even as little as sitting on my arse and typing as somebody said.

I have been having counciling and still am - i am unable to walk and have to rely on crutches - today i have an ap with an emergancy assesment team as i have been having a lot of bad falls and they want to put me in a wheel chair.

I have missed this place, the state of mind i have been in for a while i needed to stay away as i was and still am on anti depressants.

Then to top it off my boyfriends sister in law is dying of cancer - which i have had to deal with on top of everything else.

I am still working after 8 months off last year, so most of the time i have just been to tired to chat.


People who have dissed me, diss me all you like i honestly am past caring i have more important things to deal with.

I was actually feeling sorry for myself as I stubbed my toe last night, but after reading this its kinda opened my eyes a little.

Good luck, Katie. I struggled a lot with an illness that left / leaves me with no energy. So I appreciate how difficult it is.


I don't think anyone here has a bad word against you, and that the post in here you took issue with was just an ill placed joke. Life is litterally shit at times. You have to enjoy the highs and ride out the lows. So enjoy the good parts and keep your head up during the lows.

Second. That's quite a list of issues you got going on there, and some aren't even applicable to you directly.

Unfortunately, yeah, both of your disorders directly affect your ability to function properly.

Third, who dissed you? I didn't read through all of this thread and only visited because I saw YOU had replied.

I'm pretty sure sticking around on here will cheer you up a bit.

I corresponded with Katie almost daily for about 3 years, sometimes late in the early hours of the morning we exchanged loads of messages.

Nothing has happened to Katie, she has just moved on with her life and I doubt that she will show any presence on streethop anymore.

I wish her all the best, whatever she is going through.

Katie, I remember your auntie having that cancer. It sucks to know that she has passed. I tend to not really pray for anything, but when it comes to health, I guess I do. I remember praying for her.

As for you, I hope it all improves.

A close family friend of ours had pancreatic cancer. Was one of the most healthiest people we knew. It came as a shock to all of us when she was diagnosed.
