Yea man, I had a couple thousand posts before the switch over when everything got erased, but right around that time was when a lot of things happened in my life and my interests and priorities changed dramatically. Not to mention I was without computer/internet for about 2 years in that stretch.

But I remember, I was just a lurker in 02-03. I didn't make my own account until 2005 cuz I didn't own a computer and the computers at my highschool were slow. But ya'll brought back memories. HitEmUp. Kazaa. Downloading Pac songs labeled UNRELEASED & ORIGINAL. I can't believe I still come here. There was a point in time when hitemup got hack, I stopped visiting for a few months. Somehow, I got back in business here

Thank you all. These were the kind of answers and replies I was looking for when I started the thread. Keep them coming - if people do have more info.

When I first joined SH I already knew about hitemup.com, but only visited the site occassionally until one day at school it wouldnt load the page up.

When I became a member this site, I noticed that some members mentioned hitemup.com, I had a feeling that the two sites were related or linked to each other. I actually thought maybe they had a partnership, merged or StreetHop had bought out Hitemup.com.

I started browsin this place about 5 months before it got hijacked. When it did I had no idea what was goin on cus nothing really changed. Some people were still posting shit, so I continued to, which I rarely did anyway. Then I noticed alllllll these god damn spammers postin another site and low and behold I came and finally found out what happened. So whoever it was goin spam crazy, seemed like it was 100 people lol, when the initial "theft" took place I thank you.
