Damn man, you couldnt be more clueless about Iran and the future problems it brings for you as an American.

In 1986 Iran began an effort to develop atomic weapons, consulting and contracting with Pakistan's Khan - father of the "Islamic bomb." Go do your research and look up info about Dr.Khan and his connection Iran. Following his advice, Iran also undertook mining uranium for enrichment with Khan-designed centrifuges - the beauty of this approach was that it avoided utilizing uranium that the IAEA knew Iran already had, and thus would avoid scrutiny.

Delivery systems came next. In 1988 China began helping Iran develop missiles, and North Korea then assisted with making longer-range versions.

Iran already aquired and tested Shahab 3 missiles built with the help of Russian scientists which are capable of annihilating Israel and eventually will have the technology capabilities of reaching Europe and America. Just strap a nice nuclear warhead on that sucker.

With a country whose leaders publicly say things such as "Today the slogan 'Death to America' belongs to each and every Iranian" -Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei

or "We should fully equip ourselves both in the offensive and defensive use of chemical, bacteriological, and radiological weapons. From now on, you should make use of the opportunity and perform this task" -Hashemi Rafsanjani 1988

A country like Iran whose only goal is to annihilate the West and keep mullahs in charge should not be taken lightly Froggy. The only mistake about Iraq was that it wasnt Iran. Go research the July 1999 student uprising and how they assasinated and killed pro-democracy students of universities. They kill and torture anyone opposing them. The only assholes who defend this backwards dispicable country are people who think because its Islamic, its correct. But their just Muslim and not even from Iran. The mullahs are hated in Iran, and we're not talking about Saddam Hussein hate, whose only real opposers seem to be kurds and a handful of Iraqi's. The youth of Iran despise the mullahs, not safe in a country where like 70 percent of the population was born after the 79 revolution. The youth of Iran are fucked up in every sense, they want reforms. Its sad. And Iran with nukes is a very unsafe world for the West. As an American you should be concerned. Iran is far from another Iraq. Iran is dead serious and closer than you even know or the government even allows anyone to know, to mastering the nuclear weapon. WAKE UP already to the threat Islamic extremism poses to the world. And this is coming from someone who voted for Kerry.

while your worried about the politics and islamist extremist and nuclear bombs and ak 47s and people who different beliefs than you who lives 10k+ miles away from you...

i will worry about making it in this country :thumb:

irans been aquiring nuclear technology from russia, north korea, and china for the last 25 years. They are seeking a nuclear weapon, anyone who thinks otherwise has their heads up their asses.

You dont purchase materials that are only useful in making weapons grade plutonium and uranium for "nuclear power".

all though i agree with what your saying about them wanting it for weapons, you can also use it for nuculer power plants and alot of countys do just that, mabee they want it for both?

it bothers me when people who dont really know much about international politics act as if they are the ones who are enlightened. Worry about making it in this country, but dont worry about the safety you take for granted?
THis is just my personal opinion, but i think its a fair certainty that we will be attacked in this country again by islamic extremists. I like to read up on the subject of the greatest threat to mankind in the 21st century, nuclear arsenals and terrorists. If you feel like living in a bubble just criticizing situations you dont know enough about, be my guest...But if anything you shouldnt be criticizing the US governement for "Scaring you with warnings" you should be criticizing the government for not protecting you enough from terrorists whose threats to hijack planes and use them as bombs were recognized and went ignored for 10 years because of lazy attitudes similiar to the one your exhibiting right now...

I definately think they want it for both..According to the January 8 protocol between Iran and Russia which was an agreement or sale russia made with iran in 1995 to send over russian technicians, sell nuclear technologies and help iran build a 30-50 megawatt research reactor that could be used to breed weapons grade platonium(which iranians were already doing, but piece by piece, part by part from all different countries which takes a long time) Boris Yeltzin, then president, stated that the contract "does contain components of civilian and military nuclear energy" to which they said that they decided to exclude the latter.

What the hell is military nuclear assitance i ask?
