Funny thing is when i was in poland, all i remember is the women cooking all day and it was like one big eating fest! lol. Yeah and most of that was red meat. All kinds of polish sausage and whatnot.
Yeah that's more traditional food. I rarely eat it but Polish sausage is really good though.

The main source for protein for vegetarians is lentils, beans, peas, etc etc.

Eggs are a high protein source and are classed as dairy produce rather than meat produce (same as milk) so are suitable for vegetarians.

i'm surpprised that you don't have a dozen boiled eggs cooked off in your fridge if you're looking to bulk up.

you know the MTV Cribs show where they raid peoples fridges, they raided hulk hogans fridge an there was a bowl full of cooked boiled eggs in it

This is not what I expected when coming back into this thread, but if going back to eating meat once and a while benefits your lifestyle and health. There is nothing wrong with that. What about eating fish as a source of Protein Rukas? It's not the highest, but it's a good intake no? Or just doesn't simply work for you.

As for Casey being an asshole, I think he may come off as one online cause he tends to have a strong stance on certain subjects (Shit, maybe I'm wrong lol), but I'm sure IRL he's a stand-out guy to have a pint with and discuss about stuff, just like most people on here... (Which is prob true)

Casey, question:

You have stated a number of times of how your DNA is unique b/c of your mix.

Rukas is stating he is unable to sustain being a vegetarian.

Do you think your DNA has something to do with it?

At the end of the day everyone is different and has different needs.

I know a girl that used to be vegetarian but the diet didn't provide her with enough iron (anaemia) despite all the supplements she took. She had to eat meat again. She was upset but had no choice.

Again, people have different needs, different bodies. It's not because a certain diet works with one that it will necessarily work with others.

Rukas didn't say he's unable to sustain being a vegetarian. At least that's what I remember reading (too lazy to go back to page 1)
He said due to his new training regiment with boxing, being a vegetarian just doesn't give him the fuel to bulk up, but if he wasn't doing that, he'd stick with a vegetarian diet which he has for 2 years now.

I don't think DNA has anything to do with making a lifestyle switch like becoming a Vegetarian. It's a matter of just putting your mind to it, and wanting to take that leap for whatever reasons. My cousin in the USA is a Vegetarian and he's not of some unique mix of ethnicities or race, he's your typical Dalmatian Croat. He's been one [a Veggie] for the last 25 years and lives a very comfortable life and is healthy like a horse.

Your opinion doesnt count one bit. When it comes to liking people or judging if someone is cool, you are like the light version of SiGh.

lol I know what Sebastian means. Flip is a nice guy and he isn't quick to brand someone an asshole and seems to like everyone. Same with SiGh, you can talk shit to him, and he'll still post nice comments on your page.

I just got to the point where I wasnt fit enough and the high carb diet was starting to show around the midsection. So I need to get back in shape and get healthy, Ive lost all muscle mass on a vegetarian diet. I upped the egg and lentil intake, but considering I weigh 96kg as is and am 6'4, it's not enough constant protein.

I lost 6kgs of every day muscle in a month six months ago which is what triggered this. At that stage you're losing core muscle and that is NOT healthy.

To sustain normal muscle mass I need about 150gs of protein a day.

Now before I continue, let me stress that there are different types of being fit. I dont get sick, and believe that is due to my diet, plus I feel young and look young, have great skin and hair, etc etc. BUT, that isn't the only type of healthy in my opinion. Casey can sit here and say he is healthy all he wants, because he isn't sick, but he's skinny, and I doubt he would last a day in a military situation or something like that. Thats not a knock, its just a fact.

Vegetarians are fit internally, no doubt, but I want to be fit internally and externally and I was simply becoming too weak.

Plus I had a vitamin b12 deficiency.

So, I hit the doctor, had blood tests done, and hit dietitians. This was 6 months ago and got told I really needed to start eating meat again. At this point I even talked to Casey about it (so he knows this is an ONGOING problem which is why he attitude now is even more insulting and unsupportive), I went to see vegetarian specialists and tried a protein supplement diet, eating 6 small meals a day.

I stabled out but wasnt making any gains, so I was SUSTAINING, but I wasnt improving.

After a while the veggie based protein powders began giving me stomach cramps. I went through three different types and brands, around $80-$100 each. Everything sucked and made me feel like shit, so at that point I became SICK.

So, I wasnt making any gains at all, and I my diet was now making me sick.

Now, I need 150gs of protein a day.

Someone suggested eggs. An average egg has 6gs of protein. Thats 25 eggs a day... Or 12 cups of beans.

Someone else suggested eating fish. Yes Tuna is a high protein meat, but it is still a meat, so therefore I am eating meat. To me a tuna is no different than a chicken, so why is eating one better than the other? Life is life.

If I was to eat a can of tuna, how many dead tunas is that? It's pieces from a ton of different fish, tons of different lives gone, where as if I eat a chicken breast, that is one life.

So I choose to eat the free range chicken breast and continue to eat the high protein otherwise vegetarian diet.

This is my health, and something I have been struggling with now seriously for six months. Id have thought my so called friends (even if just online buddies) would be more supporting and less condemning especially those that knew my diet was making me SICK.

It is a shame that I was wrong.

There, so now instead of just taking my word for it and wishing me health and happiness, everyone out there knows my personal fucking business.

Personally, I thought Casey looked chubby in that one video they had but that's just me.
High Carb diet, so possibly. But the point is, those types of diets do not promote a peak physical build.

But Im not trying to single him out. I mentioned him because he claims to be so healthy, which is probably true, but as I said, healthy can be different things to different people and bodies.

I guess what I am saying is that a healthy vegetarian body does not necessarily mean a FIT physical condition.

I'm the one that asked about fish. It wasn't because I placed one life over another. I was just curious why you chose chicken instead of fish or whatever else. Id choose fish, but I've always liked fish more than anything else.

As for my opinion being useless like Sebastian said... I just rather just make my conclusions IRL than on a messageboard where I can't even see someones body language, and thensome... but yes, I am nice... although I'm much nicer here than in person tbh. Lol.

Ill be mean to you though and call you a big kaka head. Ha!

I'd last more than a day in a military situation. I'd be the systems guy dropping the bombs in a lab, not the low IQ macho man tank fodder on the frontline. :D

Anyway, I don't have a high carb diet and nobody in real life could ever describe me as chubby. In fact my own father told me over the xmas period that he was concerned that I was losing too much weight. Well, I won't be happy till I'm down to 10 stone personally.

Rukas, truthfully I'd completely forgotten about that conversation. I don't remember conversations I had last week......so I wouldn't hold on too much to any conversation we had months ago.

For whatever it's worth, I apologize and my original intention was never to personally offend you. When I first posted in the thread I was very conscious of trying not to make any personal attacks, but you took it there before I did.
