My Dream Role "Tupac Shakur in the Antoine Fuqua directed biopic"

With this crowd it's going to be tough to do Tupac justice. Most of us--and I'm assuming it's the same with you, Self--are big time obsessives or were at one time. Not a bad rendering though. I liked it.
Thank you Ristol! I was thinking that too...people are going to be looking for the incarnation of Tupac LOL! But that's the challenge I thrive off of. To make THOSE people BELIEVERS!!

And in regards to promoting myself as an actor...I registered to these sites become I wanted to hear from the people. I wanted to get different perspectives about my portrayal from Pac admires personally because they are the one that will be paying their movie to see it in the theatres (Unless they bootleg it LOL) This is not about promoting my own self as an actor, but more about the approval from the REAL! If I was getting chewed out and clowned I would have definitely bowed out and moved on. But in my heart I know I can do this and I'm willing to work to make it happen!

Just saw your rapping. You've got the flow on Hellrazer all wrong. You need to learn when to breath. Your voice isn't there either, you need to project a little more. Pac spat from his stomach you're spitting from your throat. Same with when you're doing the interviews.
I got you Rukas! I've been going crazy mastering his speech and voice which is coming along very well. You make a good point about using my throat and not my diagpharam which has everything with my NYC accent LMAO. I'm learning to take my time when I speak and slow it down. When I'm actually doing it, I feel retarded LOL but I know it's because it's not natural for ME...but it's about the character!!

It's good that you're putting so much effort into it. It's going to be interesting to see your transformation progress as you get more into character.

^same thought I had.

Anyway,

You seem like a good actor, but you don't have the swag Pac had.

He moves when he speaks. Some people talk with their hands, he talked with his tone and body language.

You need to do that.

Sound more like you are (not necessarily out of breath), but in a more passionate tone, (not angry).
Actually, I can't really explain it. Pac was Pac.
I'm definitely working on that Shadow. I know with Pac it was about his sensitivity...and I figure this is why people sympathized with him because you felt his pain. Even when he seemed anger, it was more so because he was hurt or felt victimized by whatever or whomever. I'm reading the book Tupac Shakur: The Life of An American Icon and one of the biggest things they keep repeating is "Tupac is not that street dude that he led people to believe" and this is coming from family members and such. He had a lot of heart though and would speak his mind. But because of his environment, he have to adapt to survive. It's so much I'm learning but I'll save typing it so I won't put anyone to sleep LOL. Thanks for commenting Shadow!!

^It's sad that i know what you're talking about "I am gonna say that I'm a thug...that's because I came from the GUTTER and I'm still HERE" ...we're a bunch of stans.

It doesn't bother me that he came to promote his acting. He was referred by another member.
Ahhh you don't know how you just inspired me...I'm going to use that interview as part of my speech lessons!! Good looking Keco!!

I promise y'all I'm in the gym and working to put on a little more weight LOL. I'm 150 now, so I figure about 10 pounds would do.

^ I thought he was about 175cm, no?
Did he ever mention how tall he was?

Also, in 90% famous artists are shorter than they claim.

On the other hand he claimed to be a "little skinny n***a" in his songs lol

yea its hard to know what weight and height he was. 5ft 10 seems about right to me though. i thought he would be heavier since he was really muscular but i guess he had very little body fat as well.

Yeah I'd agree with bulking up a bit.. Especially for '96 Pac.

I agree with you about the sensitivity thing with Pac but I would also say that balancing that with frustration and anger is just as important. And remember the majority of the movie (I'm assuming and hope) won't be his interviews and material we have available. It sounds like you got the right idea, just need time. It seems crazy they are starting filming in September and they haven't even cast Tupac yet.

I really hope this movie is gonna be good.

Well, there are various sources that claim everything between 5'6 and 5'10. Usually famous artists add a few inches to their real height.
I also remember reading back in the days that 5'10 was when he was measured by the police in his timberland boots because (criminals tend to wear high boots and that's more probable than encountering them barefoot).
Also his autopsy pictures claim similar height but human body gets 1-2 inches "taller" after death.

I did a research and that's what I found out:

Tim Roth was 5'6 yet Pac was not much taller than him.

John Singleton (claims 5'6) and Tupac:

I'd say definitely no more than 2 inch difference between them.

edit: Mike Tyson (5'9 - 100% correct, measured for boxing) and Tupac:

about 5 ft 8 then. 165lbs is a pretty good weight for a guy who is only 5 ft 8. i wouldnt call it skinny.

Yup he gained a lot of weight since he was 21-22. Most of all a lot of muscles while doing time.
On "I'm getting money" he said "weighting 155" and it's still weird that he considered that "skinny". It's normal considering he was well built.

Hey everyone,

Excuse me for my absence but I promise you I've been working hard (and working out LOL) at preparing myself for this Tupac role. I've been taking everyone's advice in regards to putting on more pounds and working on my voice (still getting there), so as of now...this is where I am with it. Here is a picture from a photo shoot I took the other day and I also recorded another video. Hope y'all enjoy...and I appreciate y'all comments and suggestions!
