Meh. My friend, a omnivore chef already showed me this before and even he thought it was stupid.

Aside from the fact that the picture of Gillian McKeith is from the "I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here" reality show where the contestants have to live in a jungle and therefore aren't exactly gonna look their best (contrast with the shot of Nigella clearly at some sort of function/award show and all dolled up), the fact remains that the diet Gillian recommends will probably see her live to the age 90-100, where I'd put money on Nigella being dead or suffering serious health problems within a decade.

Here's a normal photo of Gillian that would provide a better comparison:

.....and here's an unflattering one of Nigella with no makeup and an outfit she chose to wear on the beach because of her low self-esteem from her, quote "pale, doughy body and cellulite". She's also been quoted as saying she feels being overweight makes her look younger.

Let's be real here. The physical attractiveness of these woman has very little to do with the diets they recommend.

Putting a photo of someone during a reality show survivor trial where you have to spend weeks in the jungle next to someone glammed up for an event and then trying to use it as an agenda against healthy eating is obviously the work of a deluded, spotty, overweight 13 year old in his parents basement who is mad at the other kids making fat jokes about him at school.

If you want to get more into it, it's no secret that Nigella has had extensive plastic surgery and uses Botox regularly.

I feel like pointing all of this out is pointless because it's so obvious and therefore you are just trolling, but to take that comparison shot as evidence of anything would be so stupid that, well frankly I've got some bottles of air to sell you. HIGH QUALITY AIR! ONLY £10 A BOTTLE!

But, I'm just as amused by terrible comparisons as the next guy. So here's one. I REST MY CASE.

Vegan black guy.

Meat-eating black guy.

I CAN HAZ WIN THREAD NAO?

^^ Those guys are fat because they eat shit. Weight has has nothing to do with being vegan or non-vegan. Pop a vegan on a diet that also includes a ton of soda and sweets and he will be fat too.

Other than that, re: the photo, good job on simply slandering Nigella. *shrugs*

Look at the "French" woman diet, they eat everything in moderation, look great and are healthy.

Balance buddy, life is all about balance.

Right now I eat a balanced diet, fresh veggies, fruits, lean meats, and desserts out of good ingredients not artificial shit. Feeling 200%.

They say Mike Tyson is vegan. A whole lot of good that's gonna do him at this point.

No slander, just pointing out that you can swing a comparison either way, and how flawed the original picture was.

Prince and Madonna are both 52. Prince is a strict vegetarian, was vegan for a long time and doesn't look a day over 30. Madonna is an omnivore and looks about 60. So what? We could be here all day making random ass comparisons.

Anyway, Ozzy Osbourne and Eliza Dushku both recently turned vegan after watching Forks Over Knives, so here's another clip from it.

Tyson wasn't a vegan in his prime. He's only now become a vegan, after he blew all of his boxing money and got his face tattooed, you know, a string of good decisions obviously...

This thread made me realize how excited I am to go home just to be able to go to a Whole Foods, take a whiff of the place, and buy some random ass shit. Like those stuffed grape leaves. And Daiya cheese. They have Almond milk here, but like most milk sold here it's shelf milk. So it's in a box, on the shelf, not refrigerated. I thought those were for the peasants.

Tofu noodles. And this time I gotta try rice cheese. Sounds disgusting, but I eat crushed Bleu cheese out the box and could eat a brick of Swiss right about now. Ooops, that's not vegan talk anymore.

Non-vegans have smoother faces because their skin is lubed up from all the fat. Or their face is too swollen with the fat. Har har har.

I like food. I am trying to cut down on my meats... As it is harder to digest compared to veggies. I have 1 day a week meat free. It is also better for the world, as more meat = more deforestation.

But... I don't think I can cut it out completely. Nor would it be good for me.

I still have yet to watch Forks Over Knives. I have it on my PCm keep meaning to bring it to work. I am hoping it will upset people I work with.

You're right, it is about balance. But being vegan or vegetarian isn't just about getting a balanced diet. Its also about doing the right thing. The point is, is that you don't HAVE to eat meat to have a balanced/healthy diet and you can be just as, if not more healthy if you don't eat meat (or lots of it)

Try the zuckerberg diet... just eat meat you killed yourself.. maybe your tune will change
