So does Di Matteo go with Drogba or Torres now for the uefa finals!!!!!?? Ekk I'd hate to be him right now. I think you have to start with Drogba, go with what got you there. But I wouldn't be one bit hesitant to bring Torres in early

City controlled that game, & played way better than United. They might have their dysfunctional elements but as long as they win, who cares?

Fergie showing Mancini the hand puppet was classic :)

Of course city deserved it at first. Man U was sitting back for the tie, of course city is going to have ball control and look like they are winning, cus they were and man u was ok with that as long as they didnt score. I think after the second half you saw the ball in city's half much more and man u was putting on a lot of pressure. I feel like if the started like that city wouldn't have been able to do a thing. Man U doesn't have a good enough back 4 to sit back and you could see it from this game and also the games man u had in uefa and euro

A lot of mistakes were made by Man United. Rooney was out of sorts from the beginning. Nani was ineffective. I think Smalling and Jones need more development time, for which you need games, but they have made a few mistakes (as has Rafael) this season. Scholes was quality. Carrick was tidy too. For all City's possession, they only had a goal from a set-piece to show for it....

United didn't have a shot on goal though. City's organisation was brilliant. Joe Hart is a huge personality.

I hope City don't win it. As long as Man City and Chelsea don't win anything I am happy with whoever else wins. I don't support a club in the Premiership, and I am a purist. I like Football to win, not oil money. At least Man City are working on developing players (although I haven't seen any come through yet, but it's early days) when was the last time Chelsea brought a youth team player through....!

But.... I can't see City throwing it away. Fellani to Man Utd.

Niall Quinn's biased commentary was annoying though. I hate Neville, and almost wanted him back.

Cisse is on fucking point. I hope he puts some in against City on Monday.

How about Campbell retiring. Great player. These past few years he was pretty out of shape and didn't do much but the time he had at arsenal was pure class

What else could he do with no money and an injury crisis though..
Play Nathan Delfouneso instead of Heskey. Experiment with formation and make-shift players against Manchester United (a game we were expected to lose) and not the following game against Bolton Wanderers (a must-win game), which ended up costing us even though we played well. Heskey is just so predictable and the Manchester United defence were very comfortable with that. Play Ciaran Clark more, drop N'Zogbia and Hutton if they're not performing well. Having Makoun back would've helped. I guess he'll be leaving on a free transfer along with Guzan and Cuellar. I just think that Delfouneso and Eric Lichaj are two players that are constantly overlooked; but at least Lichaj is finally getting some time on the pitch now. I don't think McLeish was bold enough... too little, too late and now we have our worst ever home record, overall points tally and premier league season. it's quite evident that season ticket sales will be affected next season as fans won't be feeling they are getting value for their money. it's not even entertaining to watch villa any more. It's not even about McLeish coming from Birmingham any more - he simply is not the man for the job and his tactics are questionable. He focuses on defence and yet we've been the club with the worst defensive record from set pieces.
