I dont have much time but this had me thinking..
What did Pac bring to the rap game that we hear from other artists in todays rap, hip hop? Can it be his honesty? His abillity to talk about real problems and express them trough music?
He made different songs for and album. By that i mean club songs, serious songs, female songs and club bangers. He didn't stick with 1 or 2 like some rappers do.
Pacs name has been brought up many times and in many songs by alot of artists since he died. He must have impressed them tremendously. The strongest reason to why i think pac impressed them is beacause he had the guts to talk about real problems. And that seemed to have helped him sell records also.
I think that ever since Pac died, from the year 1996 and up rap and hip hop artists has been releasing more and more songs with real messages. Have they taken this from Pac?
Some example of Pacs heavy hitters:
Brendas got a baby
Wonda why they call you bitch?
Dear mama
Life goes on
and more
Your thoughts?
