They're probably right, he'a killer and a Globalist scum but I couldn't tell ya. I know millions of people around globe - on the surface - supports the decision in Ukraine.

Interesting parallel

By the end of the 19th century, American System thinking was resonating with statesmen and patriots in all corners of the globe who were fed up with the ancient imperial system of British Free Trade that had always strived to maintain a world divided and monopolized.

Although British propagandists had made every attempt to keep the illusion of the sacredness of the British System alive in the minds of its subjects, the undeniable increase of quality of life, and creative thought expressed by the American System everywhere it was applied become too strong to ignore… especially within colonies such as Canada that had long suffered a fragmented, and underdeveloped identity as the price paid for loyalty to the British Empire.

During this same period, a grouping of Imperial intellectuals known as the “X Club” (f. 1865) centering on Thomas Huxley, Matthew Arnold, Herbert Spencer and Joseph Hooker were assigned the responsibility to overhaul the British Empire’s controlling ideological structures that had proven themselves worn out. Each would specialize on various branches of the sciences and would all promote gradualist interpretations of change to counteract explanations which required creative leaps.

This program was applied with the intention of: 1) saving the collapsing empire and 2) establishing the foundation of a new scientific religion based upon Charles Darwin’s highly materialistic model of Natural Selection as the explanation for the evolution and differentiation of new species.

As X Club co-founder Herbert Spencer went on to elaborate the system of “social darwinism” as the logical outgrowth of Darwin’s system into human affairs, the intention behind the propagation of the Darwinian program was never “the enlightenment liberalism in battle against the ignorant dogmas of religion”, as it is so often recounted by popular historians of science. Rather, the “revolution in science” initiated by the X Club was merely the re-packaging of an idea as old as Babylon: The control of the masses by a system of oligarchical rule, simply under a new type of “scientific dictatorship”. But how, when the demonstration of creative reason’s power to elevate humanity’s conditions of life by encouraging new discoveries and applied technologies, as promoted by the American System of Political Economy, would the world now accept the conditions of mental and political enslavement demanded by the imperialist in a fixed system struggle for diminishing returns?

Putin is heading for a strategic loss here. He will eventually negotiate and pull out, pretending that whatever he gets is what he wanted. It will take some time though.

You don't think he'll just "take his ball and go home" and try to save face and just launch some nukes? He doesn't care about his own people, he'll gamble with their lives and then worry about his own and fuck off somewhere.

Interesting how, in mainstream America, liberals(?) are now displaying the exceptionalism. But we know that's all neocon talk.

Not much we can do about it, that's one thing my exfriends and exgirlfriends were right about. But hang on to this feeling, and next time the bullshit bomb drops, you're be in a better position.

For years, Putin has sought to divide the West, meddling in elections and sowing disinformation. In a week, he’s united Europe, united Ukraine, united NATO, united America, and united much of the world in opposing aggression. I’d say this great uniter is on the short-list for the Nobel. So that's his end game! Well played Putin, well played.

I think he might be on board with the digitization of humanity so I wouldn't celebrate yet. It's possible that he really is fighting against evil but ..... I'm fresh out of hopium.

I need to come in here more often, or just leave Ohio. My eyes are going to fall out from rolling my them so much at people thinking Trump would have prevented this from happening.

Ohio ... "swing state" MN here, "blue" for 11 straight going on 12 presidential elections.

I think it was going to happen. Russia knew this would happen.

Trump technically became a war criminal 3 months in - must be some like of a record... maybe not. His cultists will never see that. Troublesome arguing with rumors and myths but I heard Jared told daddy's girl about all the dead gassed babies and daddy had to make his little girl happy or something like that

I ask myself though, why they try to impeach him on bullshit? The answer I found is that none of that -"standing up and clapping every 5 minutes" for a braindead moron - crap matters anymore. Don't get me wrong - I feel ashamed to have not figured this out sooner. :(

Bullshit is all around us and it will get stronger.

-banning vodka lol
-banning russian-bred cats from cat competition
-public calling to "take out" a foreign leader
-so on and so forth of empire has no clothes

It's out of control......

I feel like they trollin me so we even!

Petro is up to $4.00 a gallon here now... I'm guessing it's not coming down anytime soon.
Food price spikes are bit shocking for some.... Wait until we don't have any truckers left.

I love how the only weapon the Empire has is banning Apples and Teslas lol and Russia does not give a fuck.
The only Russian thing these bitches don't ban is the roulette.
In return, us subjects will feel the wrath of the greatest economic disaster in our lifetime.

What sources do you guys go to for news? I do a check and clean up of Twitter a few times a year and follow/unfollow accounts of all kinds, be it sports, gaming, or world news stuff. I got to my news list and was pretty happy with it and added a few "international" sources given the situation with Ukraine, like The Guardian and The Voice of America and Newsy.

I've been using this site: https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/

...and pruned through some more sources. I'm not confined to one political side or the other but I do want the on with the least bias and most factual reporting, metrics used on the linked site.

I'm pretty sure Voice of America is See-Eye-Aye!! Be your own fact checker!

https://www.rt.com/
https://www.zerohedge.com/
https://drudgereport.com/ (often cringe but for the headlines)
https://off-guardian.org/
https://www.lewrockwell.com/
https://www.globalresearch.ca/

and history.

Once the intuition sets in, you can just look at any ol local USAToday affiliate to detect the latest bullshit trend.

So CNN is not something you'd use because they're too close to the government. Yet you'd happily take the word of a state owned news resource....?!?

Yeah, RT bad - CIA good! :p

I get my "news" from all sides, including the Empire's side. Even the NYT gets it right sometimes.

more

https://www.unz.com/ (might be too "racist" for some - discretion advised)

https://xymphora.blogspot.com/ (DISCRETION ADVISED - on point, everyday, human, anti-war.. and Canadian.. eh MN is pretty much Canada anyway.)

I don't do Twitter but this guy keeps popping up

I get my news from supermarket tabloids and from sites with offbeat names, like Newspro and The Beast. For my Covid news I rely strictly on Nicki Minaj. For Russian, Cardi B.

No, I get “news” from CNN most of the time. But about every day I read regular op-ed columnists from various newspapers. And then I’m following a whole bunch of favorite/useful journalists or academics on Twitter, and they link their articles to various places (Atlantic, Economist, New Yorker, etc.). So, I don’t read news, I watch it. I save the reading for analysis of the news or the background to what’s happening, by seasoned journalists or experts in their fields. I usually have no need for fact-checking. I already know who’s trustworthy and diligent, and I usually know enough to be my own fact-checker.

Never found some other legit places, like NPR, PBS News, or Google News useful. The Guardian sometimes, mostly for entertainment. USA Today, rarely. Vox and Mother Jones, occasionally.

I will also go to France 24, to get their perspective and improve my French.

:phaha I love you Jokerman. I needed the smile!

That reminds me of the scene in Men In Black when they get the tabloids for the latest alien scoop. lol

I should correct myself --- i don't get my news for all sides!!! Just some!

I don't know who to trust, really. Pardon me while I quote Biggie Smalls but - never trust nobody, Your moms'll set that ass up, properly gassed up, Hoodied and masked up, shit, for that fast buck, She be laying in the bushes to light that ass up - that's a hard fact, and verifiable. I was just thinking while I waited for you to reply - I think, like in an extreme survival situation, I can trust Tupac with my life, because... he had an enormous heart. I can trust him easily because it's easier for me to break it down to simple things like knowledge and peace.

Check out this Karen - God bless her

Big media sucks and so does YouTube but I've watched some clips of Finding Your Roots and it's great. Great use of old technology with new and good way to beat up celebrities. :D
