From many of your comments I can tell you aren't a football man. You think Rafa is a good manager and you can't pick up any of the tactical aspects of the modern game. It's easy to read what the press say and believe all they wrote about Lampard or whoever they decide to criticise. If it was a Man United player you'd be all over it and claiming I was a United fan because of it.
The Fact is Lampard plays a disciplined role for England under Fabio. It is not his strength. When he played in a more advanced role at the beginning of his England career he scored more goals.
We need to design a formation around our personnel not have a 442 and find players for it. That's why I picked the 433 or 451. We have the players for it. Apart from a great centre forward, that is.
Gerrard has been just as pants for England as Gerrard. Is that why you took offence?

Gerrard was your best player at the world cup and in the qualifiers. But ok England are so good, they can do without a player of that quality
you can just stick the great Jack WIlshere in the centre of midfield alongside Barry and player with two out and out wingers of the quality of Lennon and Young. Id love to see that when England play Spain or Germany next. Nothing modern about a 442 system fyi. I kind of agree with Pittsey that without Gerrard it wouldn't be a huge loss, but I wouldn't drop him completely, the best player at the last World Cup for England was not Gerrard, it was..as much as it pains me as I hate him - Ashley Cole. Gerrard scored against USA and did well, but our midfield was poor in the World Cup - Lampard was worse by a country mile though.
When we have played Spain/Germany with Gerrard he has been lost, as has every other player. Gerrard is a world class player, but for the 2014 World Cup do I still want Gerrard there? at the age of 34? Not really. The Euro 2012 tournament if we qualify should be used as a stepping stone for the next World Cup, this means bringing younger players. The only problem is I don't know who can replace Gerrard in the middle, Wilshere is the obvious choice, but..Barry will be too old, Carrick is awful, Lampard won't make it, Parker will be too old - doesn't leave a lot left, the older players have had 4-5 tournaments to prove themselves and they have come up short time and time again.
We can't do any worse by basing our squad on youth.

There are a lot of good young English kids. I think we are starting to benefit from some changes made after Howard Wilkinson left the youth setup. I think there's still more to do though.
The kids need more time to train. They get way, way, way less than Spain or Germany.

I don't think that many level-headed people cared. Obviously, Tiger went all out and picked up some trashy women, which is what people were surprised with, but lets be honest here - sex sells, and a rich celeb cheating is a 'sexy story'. I'm sure there are footballers out there that are faithful to their wives, but you obviously don't hear about them in the papers because it's a fucking boring story.
Much of the media surrounding this story is just adding fuel to the fire. It's still shady if Giggs was getting jiggy with his brother's wife and thensome. That's like more than cheating, that's just vile, but hey - I don't know the guy... this is kinda all entertaining though lol
