^^ yes, was out of the blue though. i dont think anyone expected that at this time of the year (i.e. 5 days before the season).
MON has never been sacked from a club and has always resigned.
if it was over transfer policies and money from sales being spent then the whole situation has been blown out of proportion. i think MON should have most of the money from the sale of milner to spend - we need to spend a little bit more to maintain our fighting position for the top 4 if not get those 2 or 3 players who could bring the quality and confidence to the side that has slipped up on their chances of a top 4 spot. maybe the whole situation is a lot more complex than money issues and the sale of milner and offers for young.
its taken this long for MON to come in and transform the whole villa squad, now with him gone and milner going its all falling apart with the new season just days away. not a good start. this is disastrous and the worst thing that could happen to us this season, even worse than milner leaving is MON resigning.
