most people recognise that he is a good playerthough. which he is. for example, i know alot of people on the liverpool forums rate him. he has a lot of good qualities. ofc im not saying he is up there with those players you mentioned and i dont believe that Arsenal will want to buy him.

and ofc im not saying this because he is irish. there are plenty of shit irish players there. like our midfield for example. However, Doyle is one of one of the better irish players around.
^^

All I am going to say is this.... I hope Liverpool get him.

I thought Manchester United were going to get Nasri if Arsenal accepted a bid?
Looks like City are in pole now.

Makes me wonder though. If you were Arsenal, who would you rather sell to? And if you were Nasri who would you rather play for?

I mean... Man City's midfield is already pretty strong.

I dunno if you boys saw this yesterday though...

I wanted someone with a bit more potential really. But we do have john Marquis... Who looks pretty decent.

^^yea but Modric is irreplaceable at Spurs i think. If they lost him it would be a big blow.

i read today that Manchester United bit 17 million for Thiago.
Modric IS Tottenham at this point.. He creates everything for them upfront. He's the best off the ball midfield player I think...

Tevez wants to leave City. This guy plays with agreat attitude but he has an awful attitude in every other way.

take a pay cut and fuck off back to Argentina. no one is stopping you, you spoilt prick.

Agreed though the only thing stopping it is Man City's asking price, no-one in Argentina can afford that. Malaga are interested in him though..

Tevez is weird. He seems to hate playing football... yet he doesn't fuck off and collects his ridiculous wages (despite complaining about the financial aspect of the modern game)

Tevez gives 100% on the pitch.

His attitude is tiresome but he can't leave Man City unless a team puts in a bid. Who can afford the asking price Man City have set? Real Madrid don't need him, Barca can't afford him, no-one in Italy can afford it. It does leave him with two options, PSG and Malaga (who are close to signing Pastore apparently) :|

I'm not saying that he doesn't give 100%, but he seems to always complain about the sport itself is what I meant. As you said - his attitude can be tiresome.

yeah he moans far too much, didn't he want to retire at the age of 25?

Anyway transfer news:
Charlie Adam is on his way to Liverpool.
Coantraeo is joining Real Madrid - They need to sell surely?
Sanchez looks likely to join Barcelona
Chelsea want Nasri
Clichy joined Man City (good move?)
Savic joins Man City - I know nothing about him.

i guess Adam to Liverpool was always on the cards. not sure if its necessary though with all the midfielders we have. Downing or Mata has to be signed imo.Id like Mata but there probably would be a lot of interest in him. Apparantly Arsenal are too.

Villa put a £19m price tag on Downing. Liverpool bid £15m. Arsenal are interested in him too.

The deal with Blackpool for Charlie Adam will include 2 Liverpool players going in the opposite direction.

^^they are saying one of them is Konchesky

Contraeo is a good player imo. but what was wrong with Marcelo? he was very good last season. in fact, i rate him very highly. It was a joke that he was left out of the Brazil world cup squad.

Try to flog them Joe Cole also. I do think Adam is a good player (depsite my previous criticism) but Blackpool were built around him, and let him get away with stuff than other players wouldn't, when he attempted a hollywood pass and failed no-one said anything to him. So I wonder what sort of role Liverpool will play him seeing as Gerrard will be the main midfielder.

yea thats something i see being said alot about Adam. it may turn out to be true. but on the other hand you could say that Adam did that well surrounded by players who werent that good so maybe he will do better with better players.

actually i dont think Konchesky is going there. its meant to be Wilson and Shelvey on loan.

Does Steve Bruce think he is playing Champ Man?

Wes Brown, John Oshea and David Vaughan having medicals at Sunderland. I think he will be getting in a few more, inluding Gibson if he can.

I think Newcastle have bought very well this year though.

they'll still end up in mid/bottom half of the table next season with that awful manager in charge. Then he will blame it all on the African Cup of Nations and how is squad was left thin bare.
