All of the sites history was written long after the fact and done to the best of my recollection. I do believe the domain was re-registered or renewed in August of 1998 and was originally purchased in August 1996, 1 month before his death. PacUp.com was up before us in 1995. Simplenet was registered in 1995, and was not shut down for mp3s, we did not have mp3s on the site until 1999. Simplenet was shut down for irc war, as it was not started as a Tupac site at all. It was for the Makaveli Script. It also had all kinds of hacking and cracking material.
Your questions about why on occasion the hijacker is redirecting the site to 2Pacboard.com is very legit, and I am wondering that myself.
We have made I believe $70 in legal donations, and I will put far more than that into legal fees. Should the donations not be used, they will be donated to charity. All contributions will be accounted for on the site, and anyone who has donated, and is not listed on the site, will be very aware.
When I set the forum up on MixtapeMp3.com I had it connect to the original database. I went to do an IP search to find the hijacker, and was greated with a posts table missing. I then discovered that the hijacker had database password information and was accessing the domain remotely in an attempt to delete it (luckily the database was huge and the post table probably took forever to delete). I quickly changed the password information and only the post and session database tables were deleted. Since they were deleted on the actual database, prior to back up, they were not recoverable.
I make money on the Internet through my credibility with my clients (
http://www.websitecm.com/), not through HitEmUp.com. We did make enough money to cover server expenses with the ads, which I am no longer able to do, so I am in fact losing additional money as a result of this, which I do plan to recoupe in my lawsuit against the hijacker.
I did not sell the site for anywhere near 50,000-100,000, in fact I was never paid the money owed to me and the majority of the deal was a contract retainer to run the site after the fact, which was never done because the company went backrupt before they even completed purchased the site.
The dedicated server to run this site at
www.ev1servers.net costs $279 monthly, plus $99 a month for server security, plus the forum had additionally gotten another server through
www.theplanet.com for an equal price which I split with a client who hosts his site on it as well. You can't run a popular site on shared hosting so your obviously speaking from a place of unexperience.
Making remarks in regards to my lifestyle is humerous. Please do not act like you know me. While I appreciate your attentiveness and your your skeptical outlook, please acquire facts to form knowledge rather than use assumptions to form accusations.
