Thanks for replies guys. For some reason I find Welsh sceneries very appealing though. I mean, they look like " shitholes" but very nice ones. Some just make me want to lay back and chill out on that grass out there.
You know, most pictures that I find on Google images look like these places are calm, relaxing and have a specific vibe of an old, little English village with little population.
I understand what you guys are saying but on another hand I'd like to spend some time in places like those:

Fucking looks like The Shire...

I always liked Wales for some reason. From the way you're talking/writing, it seems to me that you'd like us to tell you to go to Wales...

If it's that way, then go to Wales, and go to Hawaii next year. That way, you'll double the Hawaian experience, as you'd already have some kind of professional experience from Wales and you'd do both.

To be honest man, the last thing you have to look at in a decision like this is the money... I know it's hard, but hell, I wouldn't have done half the shit I've done if it was only for money...

Yeah I guess that was my subconsciousness telling me that it's the most reasonable option and I wanted to hear from people saying the same. But I'm not without logic and I take all mentioned points seriously.
However I'm stuck because after spending some time online I thought that Wales might be quite cool after reading and looking at pictures.
I kind of like the whole plan too, it will be my first trip like this, a new experience. That's why I might sound like I don't want to let go of the Wales option. From my experience new experiences are cool, even if they take place in average places. Hawaii would also be a new experience too but a lesser one granted things that I'd do there - rather casual work and English studies. Perhaps that's also why I'm keen to go to Wales.

Now if it comes to the money factor I saved for my Hawaii trip but I know that I wouldn't save enough money in a year to go there again next year. I'm still a student. I don't compare like "oh, this is cheaper so I go here despite the fact that I like the other option more" but I know that I couldn't afford to visit the "better" place twice. Traveling to Hawaii from here and staying there for 2 months would cost me as much as buying a new car to put it in a better perspective. And next year I'll have my last summer holidays as a "carefree student" without a full-time job.

^^Wales might not seem all that attractive for people that live in Britain and Ireland because in many ways, its all pretty similar in terms of landscape but for someone from eastern Europe it could be a totally different experience and something they would really enjoy.

Hawaii and Wales couldnt be anymore different lol so maybe you should visit both if you can

Well, I was going to say that going to Wales seems like a better professional move. But that's because I thought you'd just be studying English in Hawaii. If you're going to have an "apprenticeship" at IBM, then I guess, you should weigh the benefit of an apprenticeship at IBM vs. the EU project. For people our age, the main question is, what decisions can I make to best further my professional growth?

Money, a good time out, etc are all just perks on the side and shouldn't be given much weight in your decision-making at this point, anyway. I understand the argument against that, but dude, you can have a good time anywhere in the world.

let me tell you a story. i once went to the cardiff uni open day. nice area, nice village, town, scenery etc. it was in may of '08, nice weather. hot girls out, people were having fun, picnics, playing football etc. it was really nice. as good as it seemed and i was seriously considering moving there, i thought to myself, its not always going to be this way. may was pretty much the end of the academic year and people were chilling out before exams etc...

in short, the scenery is nice, but they don't call it windy wales for nothing. the weather isnt good at all. and you'll be situated in wrexham, which is nothing compared to cardiff.

if you do move there, then at least you'll be closer up to liverpool, manchester and birmingham too - which are much better cities; and not too far away to travel to on days out. (i dont agree with liverpool being a good city though).

the only thing i like wales for is for quick weekend breaks in cottage homes... and that rarely happens.

Okay I checked on google maps street view that saved me from going to that shithole :p
I was also informed about so called "chavs" and the fact that small English towns are full of them, and they are like upgraded version of our small town punks who are idiots because of lack of better things to do.
Also a few friends of mine and my English teacher said that there's absolutely nothing interesting out there. Actually yeah, it's not even proper Wales so I'd have to travel at least for an hour by car to see something worth seeing. Now I'm thinking about alternatives or going to Hawaii if I can't find any cool ones. I'm seriously considering something cheaper, where at least some people speak English, a place actually worth seeing, where I could have some fun time instead of going all professional. I was thinking about New York since a plane ticket costs 1/3 of the Hawaii price. I was also considering Hong Kong or Japan. Well, Japan definitely not this year though. Hong Kong eh I dunno. New York.. I'd go there to travel and study proper English but I'd have nothing else to do there going by myself. I'm looking for options. I'm in touch with some psycho Asian chick from craigslist who offered an apartment room in Honolulu for 500$ a month, just in case.

*hears that place is a shithole*
*shocked and sad*

Who's covering expenses for the trip? Hawaii is EXPENSIVE. But beautiful. But very expensive.
