let me tell you a story. i once went to the cardiff uni open day. nice area, nice village, town, scenery etc. it was in may of '08, nice weather. hot girls out, people were having fun, picnics, playing football etc. it was really nice. as good as it seemed and i was seriously considering moving there, i thought to myself, its not always going to be this way. may was pretty much the end of the academic year and people were chilling out before exams etc...
in short, the scenery is nice, but they don't call it windy wales for nothing. the weather isnt good at all. and you'll be situated in wrexham, which is nothing compared to cardiff.
if you do move there, then at least you'll be closer up to liverpool, manchester and birmingham too - which are much better cities; and not too far away to travel to on days out. (i dont agree with liverpool being a good city though).
the only thing i like wales for is for quick weekend breaks in cottage homes... and that rarely happens.
