Russia in Ukraine

this is good :)

By Dr. Chandra Muzaffar (Malaysian political scientist, and an Islamic reformist and activist)

A bilateral Peace Agreement is required.

The mainstream Western media is almost unanimous in demanding that Russia and Vladimir Putin stop their military operation in Ukraine immediately. This in their opinion is the only solution to the current conflict. However, if one attempts to understand how the current conflict had evolved, one would ask not Russia but the US led Western alliance to bring down the political temperature as a first step.

The roots of the present conflict have to be traced back to the end of the Cold War in 1991. The leader of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR), Russia’s predecessor, Mikhail Gorbachev felt that if peace is to greet the demise of the Cold War then the military posturing that signified that era should be buried once and for all. For his part, Gorbachev was prepared to dismantle the Warsaw Pact that the USSR helmed which was his country’s response to the US led North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). All that he asked for in return was a firm commitment that NATO would not expand eastwards, extend its military power to the states adjacent to Russia thus posing a security threat to the latter. Though the undertaking that Gorbachev sought was not engraved in written language, American leaders at that time like President Ronald Reagan and Secretary of State Chris Baker had some notion of the gravity of the verbal pledge they had given to their Russian counterpart.

It is a pity that in the years that followed, the US government made no attempt to give substantive meaning to that pledge. On the contrary, in 1997, three former Warsaw Pact states. Hungary, the Czech Republic and Poland, were invited to hold talks on joining NATO. On 27th March 2020, all 3 joined NATO, in spite of protests from elements in the Russian leadership. A few other states that were once part of the USSR and others allied to Russia in the past have now joined NATO.

It is against this background that one should view events in 2014 that exacerbated Russia –Ukraine ties in relation to NATO. These events are directly linked to the current conflict in Ukraine. The democratically elected president of Ukraine, Victor Yanukovich, who was not prepared to follow blindly the dictates of Western powers was unceremoniously removed from power through the manipulation of parliamentary procedures and replaced by a new regime more inclined towards Washington. Though the Yanukovich government was seriously flawed in some ways, his engineered ouster which strengthened the hands of neo-Nazi and fascist elements, spawned virulent anti-Russian rhetoric and spiked street violence has left deep scars upon Ukranian society. The separatist tensions and turmoil in parts of Eastern Ukraine in the last eight years that have taken the lives of at least 14,000 people can only be understood within the context of this post-2014 scenario. It is also this scenario that explains in part why Russian president Vladimir Putin acted the way he did in Crimea in Eastern Ukraine. The overwhelming desire among the vast majority of the people of Crimea to re-link their land to Russia affirmed in the 2014 Referendum is irrefutable proof of how ordinary citizens view their security and well-being.

This is why loose talk in Kiev and Washington in the last few months that ‘Ukraine should join NATO’ or that ‘ Ukraine should acquire nuclear weapons’ in the end produced a backlash effect. It increased anxiety among both elites and citizens in Russia about security concerns. It is important to emphasise yet again that this concern for their collective security as a nation and as a people is what Vladimir Putin, Sergei Lavrov and other Russian leaders have tried to convey to their counterparts in Washington, London, Paris, Berlin and indeed every other Western capital for more than 20 years since the end of the Cold War. Simply put, Russia does not want a Western military alliance—NATO—perched at its gate. The West has refused to address this very legitimate concern. Worse, it has wilfully chosen to brush aside Russia’s fear.

Bluntly put, Moscow has now been provoked to act. Since Washington in particular was not willing to use diplomacy to address Russia’s fear, its concern, Moscow has opted for a special ‘military operation’. Moscow’s response is perfectly understandable. It is completely rational.

Perhaps we should all remind Washington and the West of a fragment of their own history to help them appreciate better what is happening now in Ukraine. In 1962, there was a huge international political crisis. We thought we were on the verge of a world war. The USSR had deployed missiles in Cuba, on the soil of its ally, facing their common foe, the United States. Cuba was just 90 kilometres from the US shoreline. The US president, John Kennedy, saw it as an act of provocation. He wanted the missiles removed immediately. Otherwise, he would attack Cuba. After some negotiations, Cuban leader Fidel Castro requested his Soviet friends to remove the missiles. The Cuban crisis was defused.

In response to Castro’s decision, Kennedy, it is alleged, undertook not to overthrow Castro through illegal means. Whether he kept his word or not, it was not really tested because Kennedy was assassinated in November 1963 before he could complete his second term as US president. Some of his successors tried to undermine Castro but that is another story.

Cuba 60 years ago is relevant to the present situation in Ukraine. Just as the US did not want Russian missiles at its doorstep 62 years ago, Russia in 2022 does not want overwhelming Western military power at its gate today. The Cuban leadership understood what had to be done to assuage American fears. One hopes that the US and Western governments today realise why it is so important to allay a legitimate Russian concern about its security.

In a nutshell both situations demand an appreciation of that ancient truth found in all spiritual and moral traditions: do not do to others what you do not want others to do to you. It is a truth that has been described as the fundamental ethic in relations between human beings, communities and states. It is, in plain language, the Golden Rule of Life. The US elite in particular has shown so little regard for this golden rule in international affairs.

Ukrainian Neo-Nazi Networks Infiltrate European Far-Right Organizations

Italian special forces have recently arrested four suspected members of the extremist organization “Order of Hagal” which has close ties with the Ukrainian paramilitary groups.

The Order of Hagal is an organization based in the area surrounding Naples which has subunits across the country. Besides Nazism and anti-semitism, it promotes subversion and white supremacy culture.

During the investigation, the police collected numerous Nazi and Fascist propaganda materials, bullets, weapons, tactical clothing and other elements. Photos released by police show the Nazi paraphernalia seized in around 30 raids on members of the “Order of Hagal” throughout the country included photos of Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler, Italian dictator Benito Mussolini, and t-shirts bearing the logo of Ukraine’s official Nazi regiment, the Azov Battalion.
According to Italian investigators, Radomsky was supposed to commit an armed attack on a large shopping center Vulcano buono near Naples. Videos were found showing Radomsky together with members of the group, engaged in fire training at the training ground. Telephone conversations were intercepted, from which it follows that the Ukrainian planned to attack the Carabinieri barracks in Marigliano.
"The EU and Interpol have been fretting for months about the likelihood that weapons being shipped to Ukraine amid NATO’s proxy war on Russia will end up in criminal hands.

“Once the guns fall silent [in Ukraine], the illegal weapons will come. We know this from many other theaters of conflict. The criminals are even now, as we speak, focusing on them.” Interpol chief Jurgen Stock explained in early June

The only chance to escape from this threat is filtration of Ukrainian refugees, but so far European countries do not recognize the Nazism in Ukraine."

We recognize them the same way we recognize the MAGA-infiltration of congress. Just because there's an undercurrent of american white nationalism going on in the american congress isn't to say that the US is a white nationalist state. It's partially that and partially a lot of other things simultaneously. As a whole, that is not what categorizes the US. Nor Ukraine.

We recognize them the same way we recognize the MAGA-infiltration of congress.

Many politicians in the EU are bought and paid for by DC. Crazy to think otherwise.

If only, the Euro lackey gave the same attention to Ze that they give to Trump.... looks like that won't happen anytime soon.

Here's a comment from underneath the article:

"It doesn t matter, as both so-called “sides” are gangsters and all big and medium global players (usa, uk, germany, russia, china, india, france, sweden etc.) are run by jews. The currents presidents are just puppets, and do not have power themselves. Putin’s mother is a jewess with the maiden name SHALOMova. The Crimea Kerch bridge was built by Putin’s childhood friend and business partner Arkady Rotenberg, who is of course jewish too. The £3.2bn project was first opened to road traffic in May 2018, with the parallel bridge for rail traffic opening the following year. So when do the people wake up and realize that it is all a jewish theater, and evil trick to get us none-jews to kill each other ?"

lol.

It just seems obvious to me that Putin's power is illegitimate. This is what, his third term? And he was prime minister for a couple of terms in the middle there? And he/they changed some laws or whatever so he could get a third term? And now he's gonna be sitting president for until God knows how long? The removal of what little gay rights existed in russia, the imprisonment of citizen for demonstrating against the war, the closing down of all independent media over there, the mandating of calling the war a "military special operation" or you face jail time, the forced adoption of ukrainian war victim children to russian families, the torture of ukrainian civillians, etc. etc. Those are apparently not as pressing issues as the threat of ukrainian neo-nazism.

We can all agree that Russia is not an example to follow, that they're not a beacon of freedom, democracy and modern rights... right? Then at some point Ukraine, a previous USSR state gets its first president that isn't Moscow-endorsed. They're initiating dealings with the west, which implies they are trying to get on, getting on, or have gotten on the democracy train. Because the west will deal with countries like China, but there's a reason the US still maintains relations with Taiwan as well. The west believes in individual sovereignty and freedom. You could make that out to be about money and maybe it is, but it also leads to improved personal rights. Open markets etc. go hand in hand with open societies. We know from experience that the taste of freedom is intoxicating. So Ukrainians realizing how awesome it is to be able to say "fuck the prime minister" in public and be taken seriously, figure they want some of that.

Fast forward a few years and suddenly Ukraine is a nazi state. And Putin is right. And the raping of children in front of parents in villages is not the issue. Russian soldiers having to be lied to for them to even go there isn't the issue. Imprisonment of people that demonstrate isn't the issue. The threat of the Ukrainian neo nazis is apparently what we should care about. And we're just forgetting that Putin and his co-conspirators steal from their people, and have the whole country in a god damned gridlock. Ukraine is the threat. It's all so very coincidental.

None of this has anything to do with Putin being afraid that a russian revolt might end in his removal from power? This has nothing to do with self-preservation at all? That's like saying Donald Trump actually gives a shit about... anything.

And now he's gonna be sitting president until God knows when? Gay rights in russia, the way citizen get silenced, the closing of all free media, etc. etc.
Until he dies or gets ousted I guess. The most beloved US president, FDR served 3 terms.

What moral ground do the west stand on really?

If the content is gay, then nobody has the right to "moderate" it?

Some people don't want it. Like a religiously traditional society in the middle east maybe. In my mind, it's not something to be proud of. It's sex/love.

We really have no business dissing "Russian censorship" - the collective West sure love to censor too.

I really don't give a shit about how "RT is a Putin's mouthpiece" for example - We have the West's mouthpiece like AP and BBC. RT has resemblance of real journalism (at times).

Ukraine has a long Nazi history, it's not "suddenly" - many Jews were killed there under Nazi occupation.

Stephan Bandera is one of those Nazis that is treated as a hero by present day Ukrainian Nazis. They do it openly.

I'm sorry for upsetting you but it's the media's fault really - it has nothing to do with your intelligence.

Americans have been fooled and fooled again with two decades of "War on Terror" which in hindsight looks awfully like a combination of a "Greater Israel" project and neocons "Project for New American Century" which in essence was to take down Russia - the only obstacle to the west's world domination or "Liberal World Order" or whatever the talkingheads call it. We need to be done. Like Kyrie - that NBA guy said - WE CAN'T KEEP ON DOING THIS. WE'RE DOOMED IF WE DO.

We're no authority on it. Let's not call it "the west" but "the democratic part of the world" which is what I really think about when I say "the west" - it's not about people or race, and not about culture directly although you could argue democracy is a part cultural phenomenon. We're all human and flawed, democratically organized or not. When it comes to freedom, the west stands on very solid ground. Not because we're perfect in our merits, but arguably because we're better in our ideals regarding freedom specifically.

Some people don't want it. Like a religiously traditional society in the middle east maybe. In my mind, it's not something to be proud of. It's sex/love.
I don't think it's that simple. Even within those countries, there are instances of homosexuality that results in literal torture. In the state of ISIS they got thrown off roofs. In Russia too. I'm sure we agree on gay rights and I don't have to take a whole detour about why those are important, nor bring up anecdotal stories about the lives of gay people in societies that did not accept them. All the gruesomeness and etc. This is another one of the great ideals of the west - that just because you think homosexuality is a sin, doesn't mean I should get bashed for it. Whatever I do in my living room doesn't affect you in yours, and your God is no greater than mine.

We really have no business dissing "Russian censorship" - the collective West sure love to censor too.
In my estimation, every time we do so we fail our own ideals. And there are strong forces within our societies that fight against such failure. And most importantly - those forces are not silenced by use of force by the system itself. The system seems almost self-correcting to me. And to the extent that our societies are not fully self-correcting, it seems to me that we gravitate towards that. Having an ideal of free speech with lacking implementation seems superior to having an ideal of cencored speech dictated by the authorities. Surely you must agree.

Ukraine has a long Nazi history, it's not "suddenly" - many Jews were killed there under Nazi occupation.

Stephan Bandera is one of those Nazis that is treated as a hero by present day Ukrainian Nazis. They do it openly.
Germany did too. Did you know there is a political party in parliament in Norway that's basically a communist party? They identify as communists. They have seats in parliament. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that just because something is born out of something doesn't make it 1:1. A lot of crazy shit happened during world war 2, and the world was a different place then. This brings to mind the whole thing about civil war statues being taken down and that whole hoopla.

Fun fact, he was awarded the title "Hero of Ukraine" by the president that half the country wanted to impeach. Also, according to Wikipedia at least (I know, I know), Stephens's a controversial figure in Ukraine, celebrated by some but loathed by others. I don't know the history of that region well enough to really have an idea of chain of events, but there are American civil war heroes that are also openly celebrated that did horrific things. It doesn't mean the US as a state is racist or evil. Even though we know it is ;) :p

When it comes to freedom, the west stands on very solid ground. Not because we're perfect in our merits, but arguably because we're better in our ideals regarding freedom specifically.
Whatever that means. To me it sounds like "the East is inferior" - which sounds similar to what the bots pretending to to be "White Nationalist" at sites like Infowars posts. :D

What freedom does Assange have for example?
What freedom does Mutulu have for example?

The House of Cards that is Ukraine is easy to topple. There's simply no justification for arming Nazis openly like this. Forget Kanye.

In the state of ISIS they got thrown off roofs.
Live burning. Live drowning. Live bombing. Making children behead. You name it. It likely happened.

What do you think of the claims (which I believe) that ISIS was funded, armed and protected by US, Israel and Saudi Arabia? Not the first nor the last time such alliance has used Wahhabism to fight their enemies.

Another irony is that it was largely the presence of "Putin's Army" in Syria, with the help of Iran I'm sure, which ended the ISIS rule in the region. Trump took credit for it.

Lets get this out of the way, in the case of any confusion.

I think;

*MAGA is a populist movement consisting of many individuals. For the saner heads, it's a movement with a replaceable leader. It's unlikely to go away - despite the intelligence agencies ploy to label all as "domestic terrorists" - simply because Americans, although they may not know the full details, are sick and tired of the establishment and their crimes. Somewhere along the way, with the help of Trump's lack of filter, MAGA turned into something like a "Genocide of P.O.C."!!

*There are strange, sometimes attractive, MAGA politicians that have "not-so-conservative" type of history. But I guess that's Trump in a nutshell. Like Black Panthers before it BLM and even MAGA is infiltrated by agencies. Just look at J6 and how the criminals in DC were treating it like Pearl Harbor!

*Trump loves COVID jabs, like Elon.

*Trump may genuinely be anti-war but he's also a megalomaniac (no! not magalomania) and I bet he gets his panties wet when he rides on the deck of USS Reagan. So fuck him.

*Trump adores the Jewish money and power. So the cub-scout supremacists in America that support the orange man should start barking up the correct tree.

*Liberals or Democrats are just as bad as GOP when it comes to WW3... maybe worse. They're all crazy anyway.

I really don't know how he's received and it's true that people will want to cling on to power.

I was going to bring up two presidential speeches from almost a decade ago, regarding the alleged chemical weapons attack in Syria. One is by a US prez and the other Russian.

I don't want to put a lot of emphasis on speeches like that and bore you so here's a short take.

One speaks of exceptionalism, grandiose heroism of the past imperial glory, tightening its grip strongly on its fading imperial appeal. This is the bad guy in the story.

Other speaks of mutual respect among states, better understanding of history and urging cooperation in eliminating threats. This is not the hero, but a fair guy that makes sense.

It echos. Those carefully prepared words of the presidents. The wars in the middle east. Ukraine.

This is good :)

Ruling Class Control over the Movement

While there is widespread sentiment for a party that represents the 99%, we must confront the corporate elite, their national security state and their Democratic and Republican machines having US society under lockdown. The corporate rulers do not intend to allow a working peoples party and possess many tools to prevent it.

With their Democratic and Republican party machines, they control the state apparatus of rule: the legal system, the open and covert police agencies, the military, the mass media, most of the country’s wealth, and the national security state — the actual government. They control elections through funding, deciding who gets media airtime, who gets favorable press and who smeared.

The rulers are ingenious at neutralizing movements independent of their two parties, whether the anti-Iraq war movement, the Occupy movement, the MeToo Marches, Tea Party protests, Black Lives Matter, or the Ottawa trucker protests. They can even control the left through selective repression and corporate foundation funding of a “compatible left.”

Ruling Class Police State Continuous and Unconstitutional Repression

In Democracy for the FewThe Repression of Dissident,” Parenti notes the “boundless” resources of the “law” to derail mass protest movements. Activists can be spied on, victimized by grand jury witch hunt investigations, by serious beatings and death threats, arrested on trumped up charges, faced with exorbitant bail and long jail time (Obama used against whistleblowers, Leonard Peltier), by confiscation or freezing of their funds ($64 million imposed UMWA because of a 1989 strike), by offices being raided and destroyed (Black Panthers), by government run media smear campaigns (Russiagate against Trump, or against Gary Webb), by constant police harassment (Malcolm X), by government murder (Martin Luther King), by police death squad murders (as with 34 Black Panthers), or by FBI front groups (KKK killing four anti-Klan activists in Greensboro), by bannings from internet media (many of our alternative media groups and writers today), jailed for constitutional free speech (Julian Assange, Eugene Debs), by bans from using the mails (Margaret Sanger’s Woman Rebel), denied any speaking engagements (Paul Robeson), by revoking passports (Robeson), by being banned from entering the United States (Charlie Chaplin, Arnold August), by mass deportations (IWW, Palmer Raids), death sentence frame-ups (Mumia Abu Jamal, Sacco and Vanzetti, Joe Hill, Haymarket martyrs), with blacklisting (Hollywood Ten), and jailings (Communist Party members), funding “compatible” leftists to smear you, FBI infiltration and disruption (such as Cointelpro, now under a different name), denial of ballot status (Green Party), exclusion from election campaign debates (all non-corporate candidates), drug frame-ups, by freezing of bank accounts (Ottawa protest leaders), time-consuming trials that paralyze their organizations, exhaust their funds, consume their energies, destroy their leadership (Socialist Workers Party, 1940; Communist Party 1949). Or being publicly threatened with mass execution: The Los Angeles Times wrote in September 1917, “The IWW conspire against the government of the United States and…every day commit actual treason…and ought to be shot as actual traitors to the country which has given them life and liberty.” These are but a sampling of ruling class police state methods to crush working class opposition.

Activists in movements that do threaten the status quo learn they are not free but live under a police state. Lefties know at some level that building a progressive party and a new leadership means the more effective you are, the more the above methods will be used to stop you.

Consequently, we opt for something safer and seemingly more feasible: working for any social changes that we feel are viable under the present system – or diverted into peripheral issues such as identity politics. This may be why most leftists have not committed ourselves to the working class fight for national health care or a livable minimum wage. Exercising your First Amendment rights – never actually upheld1 – means you give up your somewhat comfortable and safe life for one of combating government operations out to destroy you. Bernie Sanders clearly recognized this, given his capitulation from his previous views calling for a new, progressive political party.

The Bernie Sanders presidential campaigns did show mass attraction for socialism. Hundreds of thousands attended his events around the country, millions were organized to vote for him. Here was a base that could help build a mass opposition party to oligarchic rule. (But he stayed loyal to the DNC, did not use his huge supporter lists to launch a new party, instead turning it over to the party bosses).

Pressing issues do exist to unite left forces and the working class in a collective fight for demands we all benefit from: the labor campaign for national health care, or for a livable minimum wage. The left today has not focused on these basic needs, yet what could more galvanize working people than gaining health care for all?

Reconstructing a Working Class Left Wing

The trade unions have the tools to fund and build a working people’s party. In 2020, organized labor spent more than $1.8 billion to help elect candidates of the two corporate parties, besides mobilizing thousands of foot soldiers to campaign. The unions possess $29 billion in net assets. Consequently, the consciousness is there, the willingness, and the funding, where we fail is in reconstructing a working class left wing.

Our left that is declining, step-by-step surrendering to the Democratic Party, becoming “left” propagandists for their anti-Trumpism or for their regime change wars, is the left that arose disconnected from the working class. It has never been possible to build a left wing that didn’t arise directly from the battles of the working class. Building a left outside of that arena is a pointless Sisyphean task, like reforming the Democratic Party.

Kim Moody noted, “For half or three-quarters of a century, socialists have been over on one side, and unions have been on the other, and there hasn’t been much interconnection.” What we have witnessed has been a too-long detour from our home base. As long as we delay and keep our focus in other social milieus, not on the producers of surplus value, we only continue to sideline ourselves. Working people become active when no longer endurable work or life conditions propel them to act, assuming they feel meaningful change can result. A new, qualitatively different left wing from today will re-emerge, as it had previously, growing out of inevitable working class fightbacks forced upon them by the capitalist class driven to relentlessly increase their exploitation. We should be there preparing.

I remember having a feeling of "damn, the world is looking at Putin the wrong way" while I was watching YT videos of him being a hardass on his underlings. Stuff like this:

Then he goes on to invade a neighbouring country due to his god damned paranoia over "the west is trying to take us over". And I tried to search my feelings about Russia and russians, and just realized how ludicrous all his arguments for this war are. He's got the napolean complex. A short fellow that always feels a need to compensate. So many people have died over bullshit. He'll be dead within 10-20 years. If Russia could somehow accept that they're not the superpower they think they are, they're just a geographically massive country that has nukes, and kinda get with the program... If they could have an elected goverment and some kinda version of basic human rights, we could all party together. The west doesn't want to take over Russia, or control Russia. We just want the people of Russia to have the same freedom we all have, which is... less than perfect, but way better than what's going on in Russia right now.... Every time someone wants to talk about how the goverment are watching us, I just think about the way I can have bacon with my eggs every morning, and it's kinda like... Yeah, the people that think we are being "lied to" in the west should go live in a country like Russia. Obviously we are being lied to. Every human being only needs to search themselves to realize how corrupt the world is. The point about the western way of life is not that it is morally or ethically perfect. It's that striving for improvement is one of the core values. Whereas in a country like Russia, where true corruption exists, these values are but mere dreams. The "corrupt west" only wants for the russian people to have the same good things that we have, which is the freedom to speak your mind and be who you want to be.

I'm not holding anything against you.

From the recent "Twitter Papers" - which was fucking obvious from the get go. (Come on Americans! It's domestic color revolution!! US has been doing this shit overseas with social media for over a decade!) - and with possible banning of Twitter in the EU (because, appreatly the EU is uber progressive and it's against the law to hurt people's feelings there) , it gives me a hint of the kind of information bubble that people there must live in.

Sorry brah, Putin is another Saddam, another Gaddaffi, another... of ziocon's war crimes.

https://southfront.org/united-states-conducted-hiv-experiments-on-ukrainian-servicemen/

On January 30, the Russian Defence Ministry revealed that US specialists held experiments with HIV on the territory of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation has repeatedly noted the signs of the implementation of ‘dual-purpose programmes’ by the USA and its allies outside their national territories, including within the operation of the biolaboratories funded by the Pentagon or its contractors.

We have previously informed about the works on enhancing the pathogenic characteristics of COVID-19 causative agent, carried out at Boston University with funds of the U.S. state budget, as well as the possible involvement of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in the emergence of the new coronavirus.

The key role in the implementation of the abovementioned projects belongs to EcoHealth Alliance intermediary organisation. The available documents of the U.S. Defence Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) confirm that since 2015, professionals of the abovementioned company have been studying the diversity in the population of bats, searching for new coronavirus strains, and mechanisms of its transmission from animals to humans. Over 2.5 thousand specimen have been researched.

The high degree of readiness of the U.S. mRNA vaccine manufacturers for a pandemic of the new coronavirus infection raises questions. One gets the impression that pharmaceutical companies had produced the vaccine preparations in advance, being unable to rapidly introduce them into the market due to specific characteristics of the virus that embodied in low efficiency of vaccination and numerous side effects.

It is to be reminded that on 18 October 2019, two months before the first official reports about the emergence of the new coronavirus infection in China, the John Hopkins University, supported by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, conducted Event 201 exercise in New York.

This exercise simulated the epidemic of a previously unknown coronavirus that, according to the scenario, was transmitted from bats to humans via pigs, the intermediate host.

Outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic precisely according to this scenario raises questions about its premeditated nature, involvement of the USA in this incident, as well as real objectives of the U.S. biological programmes aimed at enhancing the characteristics of dangerous pathogens.

We have repeatedly noted that the United States conduct the studies that are most controversial in terms of the international law outside the national territory.

The examples are the experiments related to HIV infection that have been carried out by U.S. specialists in Ukraine since 2019. It should be emphasized that the target groups include not only ‘high-risk infection patients’ (convicted or drug addicts), but also representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In early 2023, residents of Lisichansk found a large landfill of biomaterial residues that belong to Pharmbiotest. The clinical samples and patients’ clinical records with their personal data were buried instead of being cremated or eliminated in appropriate manner, prescribed by the rules. This means that the evidence were being eliminated in extreme hurry.

The Russian Defence Ministry has received data on numerous facts of Ukrainian military personnel taking psychostimulants and narcotics (tramadol, methadone, amphetamines). The facts about smuggling morphine into war zones have been revealed. It is to be reminded that in accordance with Ukrainian laws, illegal circulation and transportation of the abovementioned products is to be punished by deprivation of liberty ranging from eight to 12 years.

Russia considers the actions committed by the officials who carried out the research on Ukrainian personnel, whose blood contained high concentrations of antibiotics, narcotics, antibodies to the causative agents of infectious diseases, require appropriate legal assessment.

During the special military operation, Russian personnel acquired over 20,000 documents, reference and analytical materials, as well as surveyed witnesses and participants of the U.S. biological programmes. The abovementioned materials confirm that the Pentagon aimed at creating elements of a biological weapon, and testing it on the population of Ukraine and other countries along the perimeter of the Russian borders.

The Russian Defence Ministry has already mentioned the names of the participants of the military and biological programmes, including those of the U.S. Democratic Party representatives, employees of the U.S. military department, and the Pentagon’s contracting organisations.
